The Enterprise Customer Excellence Group (ECEG) brings together customer-focused functions from across the enterprise to provide a holistic approach to critical points of interaction with Wells Fargo customers. The group, which includes the Enterprise Complaints Management Office, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence and Net Promoter System, is responsible for understanding the causes of issues that affect customers, and providing solutions that ensure customers' needs are understood and supported. The group is also accountable for ensuring regulators' expectations are met and that team members have the tools and training necessary for success.

With the centralization of Customer Remediation functions into the Center of Excellence ("COE"), we have need for a highly skilled Analytic Consultant 4

  • Data Analytics Quality Control Analyst. This Analytic Consultant will play the critical role of leveraging deep business systems and database knowledge to perform advanced data validation of populations of customers who were harmed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform DAQC reviews including:

  • Analyze Customer Remediation issues to understand and identify customers who are harmed

  • Critically review remediation analytic approaches to ensure accurate data populations

  • Analyze complex SQL code to validate populations of impacted customer

  • Profile data and perform quality checks to identify data outliers, issues, and inaccuracies

  • Credibly challenge remediation data analytics to ensure reasonable, complete, accurate, and consistent requirements, strategies, data logic, and implementation

  • Utilize database and technical experiences to create complex business requirements for remediation database and utility functions, and business infrastructure projects

  • Train and assist other Data Analytics Quality Control resources with processes and procedures to perform the highest quality work, and credibly challenge data strategies and results during reviews

  • Develop and share in-depth Auto, Cards, Home Lending, PL&L, and Education Financial Services data knowledge

  • Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 1+ year of SAS programming experience
  • 5+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • 5+ years of data analysis experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation

  • Exposure to Wells Fargo HELMS application

  • Knowledge and understanding of Shaw, ACAPS, FDR, ECaR, and/or other Consumer Lending applications

  • Knowledge and understanding of home lending or consumer lending

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

The Customer Remediation (CR) Center of Excellence (COE) Data Analytics Auto team provides data to support remediations for harmed customers from the auto lending portfolio. The team works closely with auto lending subject matter experts, remediation leads, data quality experts, and other team members. The team is passionate about providing the best quality data possible to best remediate harmed customers. The team is serious about all of the things that should be taken seriously when remediating harmed customers, such as finding all of the customer harm and ensuring that every single customer is remediated accurately to the last penny. As an Analytic Consultant, you will dig deep into the auto lending data sources and find the customer harm. You will write documentation, query data, and provide final data populations which support specific customer remediations. The role is a great opportunity for someone who understands the big picture of how auto lending works and who also is capable of detailed analysis of individual data fields. The ideal Analytic Consultant is the following: * Passionate about Data Analytics * Has experience making complex ideas understandable to a diverse audience * Has technical experience that includes data analytics tools and writing queries in SQL * Creative in solving problems, especially thinking outside-the-box for solutions * Able to dig for information to get answers to questions that nobody else could answer * Has the flexibility to follow team procedures, yet also has the courage to suggest improvements * Is an excellent juggler, especially if you can keep cool under pressure while multi-tasking * Enjoys working closely as part of a team and has the people skills to do that well * Can accept feedback without taking it personally (knows when and when not to push back) * Has experience with the systems and tools used in the team to support customer remediations, such as: AFS; Auto Data Warehouse; Brickyard; CARS; ECaR; EXS; iTop; SAS Enterprise Guide; SHAW; and Toad for Oracle.
