Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.
The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing.
This position will be on a team providing a centralized analytic function for the Enterprise Testing and Validation team supporting Consumer Banking, Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI), Wealth Investment Management (WIM) and Enterprise Functions (EF). The Analytic Consultant 4 will partner with Enterprise Testing & Validation consultants and utilize SAS and SQL to provide data outputs for transactional and exception testing. You will need to understand the intent of the test and assist in clarifying requirements as needed.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Utilize SAS and/or SQL to develop ad hoc data reports
Source data from multiple systems of record
Provide clear documentation of code
Effectively communicate to develop relationships with and collaborate with others to clarify and develop requirements
Produce independent populations/samples for high priority or complex control activity reviews
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
3+ years working with SQL or SAS
Experience gathering requirements from non-technical partners and translating them into code to extract data from system record
Experience working with multiple data sources and large data sets
Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
Track record of delivering significant analytic value in a line of business or function
Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferably related regulatory compliance requirements
Broad familiarity with Wells Fargo data and platforms
Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
