Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing.

This position will be on a team providing a centralized analytic function for the Enterprise Testing and Validation team supporting Consumer Banking, Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI), Wealth Investment Management (WIM) and Enterprise Functions (EF). The Analytic Consultant 4 will partner with Enterprise Testing & Validation consultants and utilize SAS and SQL to provide data outputs for transactional and exception testing. You will need to understand the intent of the test and assist in clarifying requirements as needed.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize SAS and/or SQL to develop ad hoc data reports

  • Source data from multiple systems of record

  • Provide clear documentation of code

  • Effectively communicate to develop relationships with and collaborate with others to clarify and develop requirements

  • Produce independent populations/samples for high priority or complex control activity reviews

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years working with SQL or SAS

  • Experience gathering requirements from non-technical partners and translating them into code to extract data from system record

  • Experience working with multiple data sources and large data sets

  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department

  • Track record of delivering significant analytic value in a line of business or function

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferably related regulatory compliance requirements

  • Broad familiarity with Wells Fargo data and platforms

  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Enterprise Testing Officer responsible for executing an issue validation program for the Consumer Banking /Payments Virtual Solutions and Innovations Testing & Validation Channels (CB/PVSI, T&V) team. This position will primarily perform issue validation assignments of processes owned by Wells Fargo Virtual Channels (WFVC) Contact Centers and Digital and Innovation as well as other select business units within PVSI. The successful candidate will interact regularly with the CB/PVSI Compliance and Operational Risk teams, line of business partners as well as others in the Second Line of Defense and Wells Fargo Audit Services. The issue validation program will ensure consistency with CB/PVSI Testing and Validation's commitment to our customers, the Wells Fargo Vision & Values and risk appetite. The successful candidate may be involved in development and design of methodologies and standards for issue validation in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of issue validation according to standards and other applicable policies. Leads and executes moderate to high risk or complex validations/engagements, and communicates emerging risks to management. Escalates any potential new or unsuccessful validations of issues discovered during the completion of the validation. Performs effective and timely testing-related independent credible challenge internally. Completes all documentation and appropriately retains all work papers (testing schedule, templates, work-papers, deferrals, deviations, etc.). Solicits and aggregates emerging risks from teams as review activities are performed. Leads implementation of initiatives with moderate to high risk. Internal collaboration with business for oversight of risk management. May interface with Audit and Legal on risk related topics. May lead project/virtual teams and may mentor but does not manage other team members. Specific Job Responsibilities: * Participating in complex testing/validation engagements for multiple regulatory and operational risks impacting CB/PVSI Channels * Engaging closely with lines of businesses to gain a clear understanding of their process flows, their operational and regulatory risks and the controls in place to mitigate these risks * Developing testing strategies and methodologies that address the goals and objectives of the correction actions for the issues being validated.
