About the role

This position sits in American Express' Enterprise Digital and Analytics team. This team is tasked with creating great digital experiences for American Express Merchants and Card Members. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation at its core. This specific role sits on a team who drives value by creating merchant-ready digital solutions that showcase if the marketing is working, transforming those solutions into best-in-class data products, and consulting with Marketing teams on campaign design and actionable insights.

The role of Analyst, US Regional Marketing and Measurement, is to manage a key process for turning around campaign measurement results to merchants. Specifically, this Analyst is responsible for the operations and management of the US campaign measurement pipeline, including the intake of projects, the prioritization and calendarization of those projects, addressing quick needs, and mapping deliverables. This is a fast paced and dynamic project pipeline that changes and updates daily. This Analyst is the go-to person and cross-team liaison, partnering closely with US-based Marketing Consultants, an India Centre of Excellence team, and the Senior Manager of US Regional Marketing Analytics to ensure demand is met in the region.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Consulting with the local marketing teams in the US merchant business market to understand merchant needs and develop measurement frameworks.

  • Working daily with the India Centre of Excellence to kick start projects. Requires the ability to make quick changes and pivot as critical projects shift in and out of the calendar.

  • Dynamically managing an Agile product backlog for digital measurement automation. This includes reviewing customer needs and finding strategic future product development opportunities. This includes partnering across team, especially with the Agile Product Owner and Tableau Designer.

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • A marketing, analytics, project management and/or operations background

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • A strong customer orientation, a people person good at working with virtual teams

  • An excellent team player

  • A passion for working with data & analyzing consumer behavior

  • Experience with Tableau, Hadoop, Hive, or Python is a plus
