• This job is a member of the Travel Rewards Analytics Team within the Commercial Planning & Analysis Division.

• Responsible for managing a wide range of projects that influence the Commercial Organization, especially AAdvantage Business and Agency Programs.

• This position will primarily be responsible for project-based assignments that require a mix of strong analytical skills, the aptitude to solve and communicate complex problems, and the ability to clearly and concisely present information

What you'll do

• Use advanced data analytics to identify new revenue opportunities and drive incremental customer behavior through B2B programs

• Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving long term value to American Airlines (including RM, AAdvantage, Sales, Customer Insights & Loyalty, Cobrand, Customer Experience)

• Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems in a fast paced environment

• Develop performance metrics and analytical tools to improve customer profitability and planning/forecasting processes

• Align teams around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed

• Translates complex models in business friendly terms to gain buy-in from leaders

• Synthesize complex challenges and data to create actionable insights for concise communications and strategic decisioning

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or Master's degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL, and SAS
• Experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, or analytical field

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment

• Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to draw insights, drive results, and create innovative solutions

• Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace

• Ability to perform in cross-functional groups with minimal supervision to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline

• Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
