The Analyst role is responsible for evaluating flight schedules and making recommendations for changes in order to maximize profit margin while maintaining reliability.


  • Construct monthly flight schedules that maximize profit while supporting operational needs

  • Analyze financial performance of United's schedule and make recommendations to improve margins

  • Develop strategic plans for maximizing long term margin potential within assigned region

  • Work cross functionally with commercial and operating groups to ensure viability of network plans

  • Analyze fleet deployment to maximize revenue and minimize costs

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on the profitability of United Airlines route network and fleet


  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred

Knowledge/Skills - required

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

  • Complex problem solving through independent critical thinking

  • Quantitative analysis

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Scheduling experience preferred


  • 2-4 years professional analytical work experience or 1 year of Aircraft Scheduling/Planning experience required


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

An important part of this growth is the new Demand Planning team in our Supply Chain function. This group will ensure availability for equipment to meet demand and eliminating wasteful spending. As we develop more cutting edge technologies the choices for customers are more diverse than ever before. This team will use analytics and strong processes to provide the right plan for the supply and installations teams to execute. Our goal is to make sure that Gogo is installed on as many aircraft as possible and our team is the key bridge to translate sales commitments and product upgrades into solid purchasing and delivery plans through the S&OP process. The Demand Planning department will collaborate with Regional VP's, Product VP's and Engineering teams to make sure equipment and resources are available to meet installation and maintenance needs. This activity will drive the success of Gogo and directly impacts revenue generation and cost control. Without a highly functioning demand plan, Gogo will fail to service customers and meet financial goals. Gogo is growing fast and it is a critical time for our Supply Chain team to develop world class processes with world class talent. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents to create a single version of the truth for installation demand and other sales activities to drive demand decisions Coordinate demand outlook for new installations and upgrades based on product life cycle planning and engineering certification schedules Work closely with our PMO and operational teams to determine schedules for Airline Fleet specific parts with short lead times Coordinate with procurement to ensure that timing of receipts meets the demand schedule and that receipts are adjusted where needed Continually review processes and systems to identify opportunities to minimize wasteful spending and optimize our resources Manage multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and quality. Work with accounting team to ensure completeness of the monthly financial statements and variance explanations. Ability to work in a fasted paced environment while being very detailed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field 7-10 years of experience in financial analysis or related field Planning experience with inventory, resource or financial planning Strong organizational skills and attention to timeliness and accuracy Strong user of Excel or experience with MRP software Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives Aircell Chicago IL
