PURPOSE OF POSITION: To serve as a customer advocate for any calls received by the CCHMC Service Desk. This position is also responsible for managing the incident throughout its lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Call Management

Serve as a first point of contact to CCHMC users for a variety of issues associated with computer hardware, software, telecommunication and clinical devices. Answer and triage incoming calls to the Service Desk. Utilize all available resources in order to provide first call resolution or escalate to appropriate functional areas as required. Meet individual and team goals as set by the Service Desk Management team.

  • Incident Management

Document, track and monitor progress of incidents to ensure timely resolution. Work effectively and collaboratively with users, coworkers and other functional groups. Provide efficient incident resolution and outstanding customer service. Identify trends and report issues requiring problem and or change management intervention. Must facilitate conference calls by following documented processes and procedures. Meet individual and team goals as set by the Service Desk Management team.

  • System Administration

Participate in administrative duties as defined by the ownership of Service Desk. Follow applicable instructions in order to process requests within specified Service Level Agreements. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Quality Improvement

Conduct assessments of documented workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement. Provide written suggestions and feedback to the appropriate parties. Perform skill gap analysis of processes and procedures to ensure efficiencies. Review and assess recorded calls with supervisors for quality assurance purposes. Take initiative in continuous improvement by participating in internal and external training opportunities.

  • Customer Service

Ensure outstanding end-user support is provided, including ongoing monitoring of Service Level Agreements for incident management and collaboration with other areas to ensure customer-centered incident management and support. Adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers. Always maintain CCHMC's service standards of being Courteous, Attentive, Respectful and Enthusiastic team members, and Safe (CARES). Perform other duties as assigned.

TOTAL NUMBER OF FTEs DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY SUPERVISED: Varies PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide clinical practice leadership for the operation of specified patient services departments within a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents. To direct clinical practice, coordinate patient service delivery, coach and develop staff, and manage the work environment. To serve as a resource for the assigned department (s). Responsibilities * Compliance - Patient Services Management Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Evaluate area of responsibility for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Identify best practices as well as deficiencies to share with peers and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in the development of corrective action plans to guide needed and sustainable improvements. Provide project leadership, and/or hands-on support for implementation of operational dashboards that allow the area AVP to monitor progress and insure gains are attained and sustained. Ensure that compliance and readiness plans are current. Work with department leaders of Center for Professional Excellence (CPE) and Accreditation Services to improve staff competency, compliance and documentation. Enhance relationships to promote interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance standards, status, and actions. Track laws, regulations and standards that may affect practice and policies. Work with direct reports to insure that needed changes are made by the effective date of any change(s) in requirements. * Interprofessional Practice: Demonstrates consistent integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice. * Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Diverse Consistently integrates age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning. * Leadership The Clinical Manager will provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component in the assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes. The Manager will develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures and practices in alignment with the strategic plan. Situations that affect daily operations will be monitored and appropriate actions taken. The Clinical Manager will participate in the development, coaching, motivation and evaluation of department personnel. Consistent communication will occur through facilitation of staff meetings, leadership team meetings and/or staff retreats. Interdisciplinary teamwork will be fostered.
