Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. Our team is dedicated to the sale, financing and recapitalization of all major real estate product types including office, retail, and hospitality, industrial and multifamily properties throughout North America and Europe.

Opportunities

We are looking for an Investment Banking Analyst for our Washington DC office. The analyst program is an initial two-year commitment with an opportunity to stay longer at the firm's discretion.

Responsibilities

As active team members in the real estate industry, analysts help orchestrate capital raising and strategic advisory transactions. Analysts assume significant responsibility that may include:

  • Developing and maintaining models to depict projected financial results and to value companies;

  • Working closely with senior bankers on presentations, financial analysis, and the preparation of financial projections and models;

  • Supporting various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences;

  • Performing comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research ;

  • Preparing presentations and other materials for clients;

  • Conducting research, participating in strategic planning and assisting in the execution of advisory services;

  • Conducting financial analysis and monitoring existing deals; creating pitches, proposals, and marketing materials;

  • Participating in client interactions to gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher obtained prior to program start date

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Related commercial real estate experience through internships, part-time or full-time work and/or extra-curricular activities.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative abilities.

  • An individual who demonstrates a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.

Candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case financial information, as well as US contractual data. Candidate will have an understanding of the "Cradle to grave" FMS case life-cycle, including: * Pre-Letter of Request (Pre-LOR) efforts and initial contact with foreign navies (brief and research/regulation support) * Case Development: interaction with field activities for case data, and case entry into the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS) * Case Execution: financial management in the different FMS systems, cutting of funding documents to field activities, briefing preparation at meetings with foreign customers, etc. * Case Reconciliation and Closure As part of the above FMS case life cycle, project support is provided in the following areas: * Establishment and implementation of financial documents in Navy Fund use Documents (WX, RX, PX etc.) in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). * Financial monitoring and delivery posting in the Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL). * Reviewing and tracking of FMS case financials throughout case life cycle in MISIL, Defense Integrated Financial System (DIFS) and other FMS financial reporting systems. * Analyzing the execution of FMS financial transactions for compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines, and contracts. * FMS case financial reporting and briefings to be used by Case managers at Program Management Reviews (PMR), Financial Management Reviews (FMR) and other meetings.
