The analyst position will give you exposure to the entire lifecycle of commercial real estate investment, including acquisitions, financing and capital markets, leasing, asset management, and dispositions. Responsibilities

Acquisitions/Dispositions

  • Create and maintain detailed financial analyses to evaluate prospective investments.

  • Perform detailed market research on supply/demand fundamentals, economic trends, comparable sales and lease transactions, etc.

  • Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentation materials to investment committee.

  • Support deal team to negotiate and close acquisitions and dispositions.

  • Participate in front-facing activities vital to the acquisitions and dispositions process, including developing and maintaining broker relationships.

Debt Capital Markets

  • Work directly with loan origination professionals, mortgage bankers and prospective borrower clients to evaluate potential debt investments in transitional commercial real estate projects.

  • Analysis and financial modeling of property rent rolls, operating statements, and proforma projections related to value-add business plans.

  • Perform competitive set and general market research to validate underwriting assumptions.

  • Assist in the preparation of loan term sheets, internal investment memoranda, and quarterly loan asset summary reports for asset management.

  • Assist in the due diligence and loan closing process which includes review real estate documents such as leases, loan documents, budgets, appraisals, and other third-party reports as necessary.

Asset Management

  • Work collaboratively with Portfolio and Asset Managers to optimize the performance and strategy for 75 million square feet of owned office, industrial, medical office and life sciences real estate.

  • Model and underwrite value-enhancing opportunities within the existing portfolio including new development and redevelopment projects.

  • Develop and update strategic business plans by performing market research and detailed financial modeling in ARGUS and Excel.

  • Prepare and analyze data for quarterly earnings, board meetings, and budgeting.

  • Assist in the preparation of hold/sell analysis and subsequent disposition recommendation memoranda and presentation materials to investment committee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, real estate, or related field preferred. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial real estate or related industry.

  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems within a dynamic environment.

  • Exceptional organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Working knowledge of ARGUS preferred.

VIEW JOBS 4/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-19T00:00 This position will be responsible for the preparation of monthly reporting and support various finance projects and analyses for the Ascensus Government Savings division by gathering, compiling, organizing and analyzing financial information. Projects include, but are not limited to, compilation and reporting of the annual budget, cost benefit analysis, and profitability studies for various business segments. The individual will build financial models to support new business opportunities, operational initiatives, and analytical endeavors. The individual will sometimes be required to explain complex financial subjects to non-financial staff. This position requires an accounting or finance degree, advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, and reports directly to the finance manager. Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Uses professional concepts and internal policies and procedures to solve problems. Quantifies the financial impact of opportunities or expenditures and identifies key issues and trends to bring them to the attention of higher level staff members. * Builds financial models to support operational initiatives and analytical endeavors to enable decision-making on business and strategic matters. Provides on-going financial analyses. Tests and reconciles all financial models and analytic results. * Generates and distributes regularly scheduled financial reports. Reviews and organizes financial and operational data for reports. May assist in the preparation of complex reports. * Works on complex financial analysis projects under the supervision of a more senior staff member by consolidating a wide-range of operating and financial projections for the development of short- and long-term business plans. * Assists in the development and monitoring of annual and multi-year budgets, projections, forecasts and trends. May be responsible for smaller or less complex projects. * Participates in a variety of special studies and ad hoc analyses in support of departmental business and/or new business acquisition. * Researches and resolves data integrity issues by working independently or with other departments to solve these problems. * May participate in workgroups or meetings. * May assist in training staff on the use of financial reports, internal procedures, and data. * Acts as a resource to staff in other departments, providing information and explanations related to financial data as needed. Answers most questions and refers highly complex issues to others. * Performs a variety of ad hoc data and financial analysis requests needed to support departments in their data and analytic initiatives. Minimum Requirements Education: * Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. * Minimum 2-4 years of financial or accounting experience * Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. * Experience in financial modeling and forecasting * Understanding and working knowledge of accounting and finance theories, practices, and regulations * Ability to apply financial and statistical principles and techniques to synthesize large amounts of data. * Cognos TM1/Oracle ERP/Other General Ledger reporting experience a plus. * Detail oriented with strong technical writing, communication and presentation skills. * Excellent organizational skills.
