Accountable for delivering balanced, world class results across case fill, inventory & process metrics with demonstrated commitment to supply planning process excellence and lean/continuous improvement. Performance against objectives is reviewed via weekly visual performance board meetings.

  • Finished Goods Portfolio: ~100 - 200 SKUs OR
  • Non-Finished Goods Portfolio: ~200 400 SKUs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages an efficient MPS/DRP/MRP process for assigned technology(s), within respective region

  • Drives results through adherence to core supply planning processes and policies

  • Optimization of inventory and case fill, end to end

  • Drives decisions & trade-offs to optimize the supply plan and communicates to stakeholders

  • Develop constrained/feasible MPS/DRP/MRP plans over the aligned time horizon, via SAP & best practices

  • Cross functional (& external) collaboration to maximize trade-offs across production, inventory & capacity

  • Master data ownership & compliance

  • Escalate supply/inventory risk to the Supply Interface Manager & identify options to drive resolution

  • Measure, analyze & communicate key process metrics

  • Monthly inputs/capacity planning in support of Step 3 process

Key Competencies:

  • Proven organizational skills & ability to perform under pressure & manage priorities w/competing demands

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Process improvement proficiency, e.g., root cause understanding, lean methodology, etc.

  • Ability to work on a high-performing team in collaborative environment

  • Quantitative/qualitative analysis, including business process metrics & measures linking to business KPI's

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • University/bachelor's degree required (in related field, e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration - preferred)
  • A minimum of three months of supply chain work experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Experience in the CPG industry and/or knowledge of
  • APICS certification, e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CLTD
  • SAP experience/knowledge (planning related module)
  • High level proficiency w/PC-based applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access)
  • Demonstrated results working in a team-based, cross functional environment

VIEW JOBS 10/20/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-18T00:00 Summary Salary: Salary based on experience and credentials Team: Supply Chain and Logistics Location: Chicago - USA Description PURPOSE OF POSITION Support the supply planning function for Dyson US by analyzing stock projections and collaborating with the Dyson planning team on production needs , ensuring targeted US inventory KPI's are met. Accountabilities MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES Support overall supply planning process for US consumer and commercial businesses. * Submit weekly/monthly demand plans by SKU by warehouse to production planning team in Malaysia * Liaise with Malaysian manufacturing team and third-party ocean carrier to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product into US * Work with Demand Planning team to maintain appropriate levels of inventory in third-party warehouses to meet 12-month rolling demand plan and to achieve corporate stock objectives * Assist local marketing and sales teams with planning for new product launches and exclusive skus * Communicate with Malaysian manufacturing team on a bi-monthly conference call to ensure production plans meet demand plan Analyze domestic supply chain product flow movements and manage requests made from group inventory compliance. * Report monthly inventory projections by sku to monitor investment in working capital * Drive profitability by minimizing product obsolescence * Ensure correct inventory locations/timing to meet customer requirements * Divert containers, team trucking, warehouse stock transfers Manage allocation process for items with capacity constraints * Identify and communicate potential capacity constraints to necessary parties * Update demand/supply sheets weekly * Prepare internal allocation report for key retailers to help maximize sales when inventory is low * Assist in managing customer orders * Work closely with Sales and Order Processing and Account Managers to analyze shipments vs. plan * Fulfill other duties as needed. * Invoice creations for international territories * Receipt alignment report * Process freight forwarder invoices and resolve discrepancies * Develop and recommend improvements to current operating procedures Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required Other Requirements * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Very organized with excellent follow-up * Numerically Proficient * Adaptable/flexible – able to multi task * Professional/discreet/loyal * Team player Skills Experience and Education * Bachelor's degree required- Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Logistics preferred * 1+ years' experience in a supply chain role required, consumer goods organization experience preferred" * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills * Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required * Strong communication skills * SAP planning experience preferred Demonstrated understanding of supply chain concepts Benefits Dyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.
