Your Job

As Analyst, Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Networks, you will assist SES Networks in monitoring, understanding, and measuring global trends (competitive, market, and customer) in the satellite and telecommunications market. Your contributions will help impact the formulation of SES' global, regional, and vertical strategies and strategic planning efforts. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key global intelligence tools for company-wide usage to support strategic planning and competitive intelligence. You will also use these capabilities and your subject-matter expertise to provide analytical support where needed specifically to the U.S.-based mobility and government teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the development of customized tools and dashboards in the Energy, Government, Mobility, and Fixed Networks segments

  • Build and maintain databases with market information

  • Track, disseminate, and report on changes in the market

  • Develop tools and tracking processes to strengthen customer intelligence capabilities by monitoring key customers in selected verticals

  • Use SES internal tools and external market information to issue quarterly reports by segment for company-wide distribution

  • Provide tactical and strategic support to sales, corporate development, and segment leaders

  • Support SES Network's marketing, corporate public relations, and segment teams with systematic monitoring, tracking, and measurement of key trends (competitive, market, and customer)

  • Support the team in providing segment-specific market and competitive assessments relevant for SES's future satellite investment and replacement programs

  • Provide vertical insights, analysis, and input into the corporate strategic plan

Your Profile

  • Seniority will be based on applicant experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (combination of business and engineering highly desirable) or equivalent experience required

  • Proficiency in English required (proficiency in other languages is highly desirable)

  • Expertise in advanced databases, Excel modeling and web-based analytics applications preferred

  • Understanding of the satellite/telecommunication industry (key customers, space technology, ground infrastructure, launch and service sub-segments as well as FCC/ITU regulatory framework preferred

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time required

RESPONSIBILITIES * Produce intelligence reports, threat assessments and conduct investigations. Analyze and assess risks and threats to Facebook's executives across the designated region/function. Complete team projects and products at the direction of Management. Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk. Develop and sustain a collaborative partnership with headquarters and regional partners. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other business partners to effectively support their respective Departments.
