Performing general oversight of business unit compliance activities, including review of selected risks, mitigating controls and tests, and reports.
Providing compliance industry expertise and applying best practices to project work based on experience.
Interacting with leadership throughout the organization to understand and address compliance issues.
Staying abreast of FERC regulations that may impact Entergy policies, practices, and decision making.
Improving the FERC Compliance Program and its processes.
Conducting analysis and regulatory support to achieve consistent approaches and controls for FERC requirements.
Assisting with implementation and use of Entergy's Governance Risk & Compliance tool.
Developing effective written communications on various FERC Compliance topics including presentations, compliance manual policies and procedures, and training materials.
Leading the development and implementation of FERC Compliance training coursescomputer-based and classroom.
Making presentations to business units, sometimes in other geographic locations, on compliance topics.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical field, Juris Doctorate law degree, or equivalent work experience.
Desired: Master's Degree.

Functional KnowledgeRequires depth or breadth of expertise in facilitating compliance with rules, regulations, or policies. Based on the diverse responsibilities of the position, relevant work experiences may include: creation of employee training content; internal audit; external audit or consulting; communications and marketing; risk analysis and internal control evaluation; legal and regulatory compliance; and creation of corporate codes of ethics and employee policies.

Familiarity with internal controls and risk assessment techniques preferred; understanding of processes and flowcharting
