Position Summary: The Functional Support Analyst is responsible for assisting in the design, delivery and improvement of enterprise software systems as well as facilitating and supporting valuable processes improvements across the organization. The Functional Support Analyst will act as a liaison between business end users, enterprise technology partners and in collaboration with IT. The objective of this role is to provide software subject matter expertise and providing support to Continuous Improvement to improve business processes while mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with business rules and policies in addition to minimizing financial impacts to the business. This role will work on a team led by the Supervisor, Functional Support Services with a focus on continuous improvement to enable operational excellence within the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT Quality Assurance by acting as the end user to perform end user testing of system configuration to validate desired process outcomes.
Act as the business process advocate to ensure systems are operating and configured optimally to support efficient and effective process performance and ensure that issues do not occur.
Assess system's ability to satisfy requests for data and identify constraints within current reporting mechanisms; inform requests submitted to the IT Business Intelligence team.
Interface with enterprise systems vendors and various IT departments for operational support, functional enhancements, and release management to support process performance.
Provide day-to-day Level 1 user operational support and monitoring of department and division processes to include trouble-shooting system problems as needed.
Identify and investigate process performance issues through monitoring and analysis of process control points.
Analyze issues and work with technology vendors to provide solutions to functional areas on system and operational process issues.
Drive the translation of business needs into configuration decisions by collaborating with technology vendors and IT as needed.
Provide functional education to business users responsible for managing and operating business processes.
Provide continuous presence and support for functional leaders and end users to understand day-to-day operations and escalate issues.
Facilitate creation and maintenance of process content by evaluating and documenting process flows to include detailed components.
Identify and manage business requirements in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive effective end user engagement with systems through consistent feedback and knowledge management.
Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
Coordinate and/or facilitate ad hoc system training according to business needs.
Provide functional support analyst support to EPMO initiatives.
