Position Summary: The position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing business processes from end to end to identify and implement opportunities for process optimization. The objective of this role is to maximize operational effectiveness while mitigating risks, ensuring compliance and minimizing financial impacts to processes and related systems. This role will take ownership of assigned business processes and work in partnership with the IT Division and business leaders to define and execute end to end process optimization to drive the evolution of a process-aligned organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned end to end business processes and identify opportunities (proactively and reactively) to deliver significant process improvements and/or process re-engineering to ensure that business processes support long-term business objectives.

  • Develop and document complex 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes, including maps and associated documentation, in compliance with enterprise process mapping standards, tools and IT systems.

  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by researching and analyzing advanced business processes and documenting and analyzing advanced business process flows and detailed components of same.

  • Assist in project level analysis and required documentation to potentially include scope matrix, sequence diagrams, and future state proposals.

  • Identify, recommend, implement and document appropriate metrics in line with agreed upon business targets and enterprise strategy; ensure that the data supporting the metrics requirements is accurate, reliable and transparent.

  • Help the organization build, implement and sustain a successful CI program to include developing toolkits, training, facilitation, problem solving and execution capabilities to the enterprise. Be the go to expert on matters related to Lean or Six Sigma concepts.

  • Serve as a liaison between IT and the Business to Lead enterprise wide continuous improvement initiatives to define solution performance opportunities; Analyze, prioritize and ensure full realization of the intended value; Prepare, manage and reinforce change until operationalized.

  • Conduct and/or assist in advanced level cost/benefit analysis of proposed solutions in support of prioritizing efforts.

  • Collaborates enterprise wide with functional leaders and solution architects to identify process improvement opportunities and streamline the use of process automation across the organization.

  • Support complex programs, align scope with cross functional partners and present results to all stakeholders and team members of the organization.

  • Assist in the creation and promotion of a knowledge management framework in support of defining and communicating business processes and best practices.

  • Work with business owners to review and optimize business rules and policies where required and ensure compliance with same; identify and mitigate risks.

  • Lead mid-sized to complex, end to end business process continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build strong and effective relationships with management and stakeholders and act as a key contributor in a cross-functional environment.

  • Understand LCEC's enterprise flagship applications and systems and partner with IT, as needed; Recognize potential impact on end to end processes and associated workflows.

  • Assist in driving business awareness of quality/process methodology; Play a key role in ensuring CI projects and enterprise change initiatives meet organizational objectives by increasing employee adoption and usage.

  • Strongly support CI Department by assisting with development of CI Strategy, roadmap and plans to include conducting assessments, providing communications and removing barriers to adopting change; Involved with the creation and execution of actionable deliverables, such as training plans and resistance management plans.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Industrial Engineering or Related Field (Required) or

  • An equivalent combination of education, demonstrated work experience and active certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree. (Required)

Experience

  • 5+ to 7 Years Previous experience in complex process and/or business analysis in addition to project managing small to medium enterprise initiatives. (Required)
  • 5+ to 7 Years Demonstrated experience identifying, redesigning and automating business processes. (Required)
  • 5+ to 7 Years Experience in gathering and documenting advanced business requirements in combination with advanced analysis and process mapping skills. (Required)
  • 5+ to 7 Years Excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills to include the ability to understand and negotiated the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders. (Required)
  • Prior experience in enterprise wide, end to end, process improvement and implementation of same. (Required)
  • Experience in Utilities Industry. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Business acumen skills including strong understanding of risk assessment and knowledge of change management. (Required)
  • Ability to understands how processes flow across the organization combined with an understanding of functional areas sufficient to demonstrate fluency in business process and process differentiation. (Required)
  • Highly effective analytical capabilities; utilize Root Cause Analysis techniques to include the ability to source, structure and analyze data to find opportunities and address key outcome & performance gaps. (Required)
  • Advanced data analysis skills and experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g. Minitab) and process mapping tools (e.g. Visio) or similar tools. (Required)
  • Ability to adjust to multiple and changing priorities while remaining flexible and open. (Required)
  • Ability to apply judgment and make independent recommendations and/or decisions that may affect impacted groups. (Required)
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity by distilling complex business problems into their essential elements and prioritized work that helps the organization improve and goal. (Required)
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle complex assignments with minimum supervision. (Required)
  • Ability to understand, summarize and present complex data effectively to a variety of audiences across the organization. (Required)
  • Ability to consult and influence across the organization while identifying and providing key facts and reasoning for recommended changes. (Required)
