GCI's Senior Compensation Analyst position: Assist the Sr Human Resources Director in research, development, implementation and maintenance of the company's compensation program. Maintain and communicate a pay system that is internally and externally equitable by evaluating jobs in terms of their relative contributions to the organization's objectives and relative to the industry and competitive analyses, ensuring the pay system evolves with the changing needs of the organization.
Essential Duties of Position:
Reviews job descriptions by validating essential duties, education, and experience requirements and determining FLSA classification. Analyzes position descriptions for thoroughness and consistency with GCI job grading criteria, and assigns appropriate GCI salary pay grade, WC, ESC, and AAP codes to all job descriptions. Provides guidance to supervisors/managers in writing job descriptions and in evaluating internal equity and compression issues. Conducts desk audits as required. Consults with the Human Resources Director to resolve questions regarding starting pay, merit increases, etc. Maintains the Oracle system and ensures data integrity through regular audits and analysis. Maintains a job analysis system that ensures GCI employees are being compensated appropriately.
20%: Assists supervisors and managers with the interpretation of compensation policies. Acts as first point of review for promotions, reclassifications, and other salary-related requisitions to ensure consistency and internal equity.
Utilizes Oracle HCM to update position titles/grades in the HRIS system. Maintain wage and salary structures and assist departments in the development of competency-based progression systems.
Assists in analyzing competitiveness of the Company's base pay and benefit plans by participating in salary surveys to determine market competitiveness. Assembles, analyzes and submits compensation data for exempt and non-exempt third-party compensation surveys. Coordinates the Company's participation in surveys to include the identification, analysis, and usage of appropriate compensation and benefit surveys.
Prepares reports as needed regarding compensation and benefits information for analyses and information requests. Assists in success share preparations, calculations, and communications. Performs quarterly audits of compensation changes in the Oracle HCM to ADP systems. Reviews and analyzes existing and new HR-related legislation to ensure GCI compliance with federal, state and local Wage and Hour requirements. Enforces adherence to FLSA requirements and advises management on needed actions. Provides salary and employment verifications to financial institutions and child support agencies.

Excellent Computer Skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Access. Oracle experience preferred.
Experience required for the Sr. Analyst, Compensation position:
Minimum of five (5) years of documented success in a Human Resources environment, of which at least four (4) are at the exempt-level are in Compensation.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration or Accounting field.
Equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
At least one of the following certifications: PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP or CEBS preferred.
If SPHR certification is current it will be considered towards one year of professional experience.
Ability to perform sedentary work. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision to see near, mid-range, and color. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Working Conditions: Most activities conducted inside under pleasant climatic conditions. While not in the field, desk position could involve data input on computers, heavy telephone usage interaction with customers, Vendors and other employees. Must be able to travel and meet with customers at their locations throughout their assigned territory and be willing to work flexible hours.
GCI and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services and may need to respond to public health and safety matters or other business emergencies. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of the normal business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. You will be requested to provide an emergency after hours contact numbers.
Driving Requirements (if applicable): Position requires occasional travel to other GCI locations. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance.
