Under the direction of the Director of Slot Operations, the Slot Performance Analyst will support the department leader with administrative support such as processing payroll, onboarding new hires, coordinating training, and processing payments of invoices, as well as, identify slot trends at the Seminole Casino Hollywood and for gaming industry as a whole. The position will provide reports and recommendations to the Director of Slot Operations to develop business strategies. Duties include, but are not limited to - creating ad-hoc reports, provide trending data, utilizing slot performance tools, and meeting with slot vendors. The Analyst will also provide the Director of Slot Operations with recommendations and reports to assist with the day-to-day operation of the slot floor.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for 1) conducting slot performance analysis to guide slot product decision making, 2) conducting slot performance reporting and investigations and, 3) maintaining the integrity of the supporting slot data

  • Initiates, plans and executes programs to identify and improve slot coin in, win, occupancy and ultimately revenue.

  • Performance analysis includes but is not limited to game type and mix, denomination, location, layout, themes and trends.

  • Intimately understands slot product and the individual and collective performance of the product on the gaming floor to effectively recommend slot product additions, removals and upgrades.

  • Moreover, balances product recommendations from corporate with unique property demands to drive slot product changes with all manufacturing vendors.

  • Consistently shops competitors and meets with vendors to glean ideas for slot product, merchandising and layout projects to incorporate within the property.

  • Presents product plans on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to the slot team, which include the Slot Technical Manager, Operations Manager, Director of Slot Operations and Seminole Corporate Slots.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the software associated with the SDS System.

  • Conduct slot machines file maintenance within SDS to reflect new games, floor moves, and other machine-related changes.

  • Maintains an accurate database of information on all slot related equipment, reports, and files for analytical purposes.

  • Maintains and updates SDS per brand slot file standards. Keeps all information current in SDS.

  • Produces regular list of EGD variances reported by SDS for Slot Technical. Maintains a list of slot machines performing poorly in relation to their theoretical hold percentages, and ensures that these machines are checked for malfunction.

  • Assists the slot department in generating SDS and STM reports.

  • Assists the Slot Technical team with the administration and management of all departmental SDS processes.

  • Responsible for assisting in budgeting / forecasting of Slot Technical related expenses (i.e. Lease/WAP Billings).

  • Ensure that monthly performance review of slot machines, as well as ongoing assessments of slot machine performance, are conducted and communicated to the Slot Technical manager.

  • Develops and delivers SDS management reports in support of machine performance and maintenance, slot customer service standards, and slot operations productivity.

  • Focuses on maintaining the integrity of the information flows between department users and the service provided to internal and external guests.

  • Actively communicates with vendors regarding new products and product updates, delivery / pickup dates, contracts, and billing of participation games.

  • Maintains a priority list of projects in conjunction with Slot Management.

  • Recommends software to accomplish department objectives and tracks results.

  • Follows protocol when troubleshooting SDS issues and actively participates in corporate conference calls pertaining to SDS.

  • Follows up on customer notifications and field advisories pertaining to all gaming devices and presents findings to the Slot Technical Manager.

  • Prepares spreadsheets that support machine capital purchases and/or proposals projecting revenue estimations.

  • Follow policies and procedures specific to the department, properties and the Seminole Tribe of Florida

  • Interact with other team members in a respectful, supportive manner

  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free personal work area

  • Assists as appropriate with the issues/awareness of responsible gaming/alcohol consumption and the prevention of underage gaming/alcohol consumption

  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Qualifications

College degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting preferred. Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in financial analysis or operations analysis preferred. Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Autocad and SDS preferred. Strong interactive skills and the ability to work independently required. Must be competent in preparing and analyzing computer-generated reports on various slot products. Slot Operations/Performance background preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear in a noisy casino environment as well as a quieter office environment; frequently required to stand and walk and move throughout Gaming areas. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision and depth perception.

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to other members of federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
