The Job

This role will require working with other team members to provide support to various internal/external clients by working on ad hoc reports and special projects. The analyst will also be responsible for helping to present the team's work to other research members, sales, and other clients.

The Day-to-Day

  • Responsible for supporting the Ad Sales Research team by preparing regular reporting and performance analysis for linear and digital properties (desktop, mobile, social, VOD).

  • Responsibilities will include basic reporting and data analysis to assist the ad sales team with client questions or requests, working with Integrated Marketing on reporting, and assisting in creating sales materials and completing / distributing reports on site/network performance.

  • Analyzing and tracking the performance of key series (premiere and post launch), the brand overall regardless of platform and competitive brands.

  • Under supervision, the analyst will assist other research team members with projects and the development of presentations for sales, clients or other stakeholders.

The Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Minimum 1 year media research experience in cable or broadcast television, including experience in Nielsen Ratings.

  • Proficiency in extracting and manipulating data from Nielsen Media Research and other reporting systems.

  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal and written communication skills necessary.

  • Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PPT, and Excel. Familiarity with NPower, Marketbreaks, Star Media, MRI, Nielsen Brand Effects, ComScore, Adobe Omniture, Talk Track, and Techedge, and experience with primary research methods a plus.
