Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing and execution of state registration renewals and periodic reporting to ensure Tractor Supply Company (TSC) is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Act as liaison between states and TSC to ensure timely processing of regulatory renewals by the regulatory requirements, as well as the retention of other documents including violations, inspection notices, and other confidential corporate documents.

  • Ensure timely filing and processing of required documents.

  • Manage end to end processing as well as the retention of other documents including violations, inspection notices, surety bonds and other confidential.

  • Responds to inquiries from various agencies concerning research requests, including new/existing store product restrictions, and violations.

  • Monitor activity of vendor partners to ensure registrations are timely filed with regulatory agencies, and to make sure TSC is compliant with licensing regulations to avoid stop-sale situations.

  • Perform research to determine federal, state and local regulations related to license and permit requirements.

  • Analyze and create courses of action to comply with laws and regulations.

  • Provide guidance on issues and inquiries from various internal and external business partners concerning compliance issues, violation notices, inspections, etc.

  • Systemic tracking of deadlines for licensing requirements and anticipated due dates of such regulatory needs.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a corporate environment or Licensing/Compliance position.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.

Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work effectively and productively both independently and with a variety of people.

  • Strong communication skills. Comfortable conversing with external and internal contacts via telephone.

  • Ability to exercise judgement/discretion in handling confidential paperwork/matters.

  • Detail-oriented approach to work.

  • General knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
