Job Summary

The QA/QC Assurance Analyst will partner with the Quality Manager, Operations, and Functional teams to drive quality improvements in the preparation and delivery of our services. This position will be responsible for driving operational improvements through Quality Planning, Assurance, Control and Improvement. Drive a Culture of Quality where quality is built-in to the planning process, enabling teams to do their work right the first time, where processes are followed in execution, where shortcomings and defects are captured as non-conformances, where problems are fed back into the organization for accountability and resolution, and where ideas and lessons learned are captured for future improvement. Help front-line and back office teams resolve problems (NCR, RCA).

Location/Travel Information

This position is based at the Quintana LQF Terminal with frequent travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Experienced culture change agent with a track record of delivery.

  • Provide strong Quality leadership in support of business goals and objectives

  • Lead Quality for all plant operations

  • With the leadership team, build a Quality Culture throughout the organization - one where defects are not accepted, created, or passed-on.

  • Drive the full implementation of the Quality Management System, develop Audit plans, perform Audits, and drive compliance improvement and simplification of the quality management system

  • Lead the measurement, analysis, and regular operating rhythm around Quality metrics

  • Apply Quality Planning, Assurance, Control, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve process capability and thereby improve all Quality metrics:

  • Measure performance of operations against Quality standards, analyze trends and opportunities, and report results to management

  • Perform Quality Audits, conduct analysis and recommended actions

  • Manage the NCR process including driving increased capture and faster resolution

  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis including overseeing the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions

  • Performs analysis of data entered into the Company incident Management System and prepares reports based on this analysis.

  • Completes assignments and projects using independent judgment and interpretation of Company policies and procedures.

  • Maintains regular on-site attendance

  • Maintains a flexible and adaptive work schedule (i.e. start early or stay late if required to complete work)

  • Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management

Essential Functions

Minimum Qualification/Work Experience

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Minimum Experience preferred: 3+ years of related experience in Quality Management.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Preferred Experience: 3+ years of related experience in Quality Management

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must have strong and effective organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects.

  • Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral). Must be able to articulate and understand complex issues.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with different areas/levels within the organization.

  • Advanced in in the use of PC equipment and software including Windows and MS Office products (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Highly organized and motivated with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with ability to identify recurring trends in data sets.

  • Exceptional problem solving skills.

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.

Working Conditions and Physical Expectations

  • Operates in a professional office environment within or outside of an industrial plant environment.

  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.

  • While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.

  • The incumbent is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.

  • Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
