Duff & Phelps' Property Tax practice assists clients in identifying tax saving opportunities by reviewing their tangible property portfolio and associated property tax assessments and liabilities.

As a Compliance Analyst in Property Tax, duties will include the following:
Work with team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met
Audit tax bills vouchered for accuracy
Update collector information as necessary
Create and image checks for client tax payments
Notify clients of amounts due
Produce and upload positive pay files on bank website
Mailing of client tax payments
Obtain copies of cancelled checks as requested
Place follow-up calls to collectors as needed
Collect all proof a mail articles for the previous day and ensure daily reconciliation is correct
Obtain certified mailing delivery confirmations
File all check writing documents
File and pay Sales and Use Returns
Remit unclaimed property amounts to owners and state collectors
Reconcile petty cash monthly
Reconcile bank accounts monthly
Generate, print and mail invoices as required
Perform other related duties as directed by the Vice President of Finance in the Addison Office
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients
Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
Ability to collaborate with leads and other team members
Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field
Ability to problem solve and make educated decisions
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field OR a minimum of 4 years related work experience
