The Analyst, Procurement GSI North America is responsible for the management of procurement strategy and execution within the GSI (Global Strategic Insights) category in support of Analytics, Secondary & Syndicated Data, Primary Market Research, and Real-World Evidence across the sectors (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Consumer). Primary responsibilities will include sourcing strategy development, business partner engagement, supplier relationship management activities, and supporting project teams through competitive bidding and supplier selection processes. Key

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: performance management of key supplier relationships. Partner with key customers to address team support and performance issues with suppliers, data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value and bring innovation to the business.

  • Competitive Bidding: initiate and lead competitive bidding events.

  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Shape business partner strategies and meet business needs through providing external market insights.

  • Investment Leadership: Lead negotiations with suppliers

  • Analytics and Innovation: analysis & analytical work supporting the category strategy development, finding creative and innovative solutions for unmet business needs.

  • Partner with Category Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage.

  • Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.

  • Implement and coordinate standard Procurement policies and processes for multiple departments/geographic area, client group, or functional project.

  • Will have autonomy and authority to make decisions for the category.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be results oriented and customer-focused.

  • Must have effective time management skills, ability to prioritize activities, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary.

  • Exercise judgment within scope in developing innovative approaches and resolving issues.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, life sciences or a related field is required. An MBA, Master's Degree, Ph.D., JD, etc. is preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of business experience is required. Related procurement, R&D or supply chain experience preferred.

  • Experience in the execution of sourcing events end to end, including price negotiations, vendor quote tracking, supplier selection, and contract review and approval is preferred.

  • Project Management experience is a strong plus.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be results oriented and customer-focused.

  • Experience sourcing of services is a plus.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required.

The Manager, Procurement Professional Education North America will be responsible for leading this category in support of approximately $150 million or less in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This spend is medium complex in nature and requires a collaboration with key stakeholders within the business to execute. This individual will collaborate with the others on the team to identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy. This individual will be responsible to plan categories activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service, innovation and compliance adherence. This manager will work with the Regional Leadership (including Canada) for developing end-to-end category leadership such as category strategy development, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing key supplier relationships. The position must shape, connect and deliver on key projects. The Manager, Procurement Professional Education North America's scope of responsibilities include: * Assist in the development and driving the Procurement vision for, with and through the stakeholder community. * Collaborate in developing the vision, strategy, transformation and implementation plan for the category that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J both Regionally and Globally. * Interface directly with CEO's and other supplier leadership to assure alignment with JNJ's objectives, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost. * Understands operational considerations. Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Engagement Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage. * Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments * Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions * Help to identify new external partnerships and business models to meet business needs and drive strategic value * Lead supplier governance including segmentation and engagement planning. Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value, and bring innovation to the business * Develop external perspective.
