Analyst - Private Equity Investments

Position Overview

An Analyst at StepStone Private Equity will be focused on supporting the local Private Equity team in its investment activities, with an emphasis on secondaries. The role will also involve work across primaries and co-investments in a buyout, venture, or growth equity setting.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the secondaries and general private equity landscape and industry trends.

• Interpret financial analyses, prepare valuation analyses, and use available information to identify, quantify, and analyze trends across a variety of industry sectors and transaction structures.

• Form an independent opinion about the attractiveness of investment opportunities and efficiently communicate opinions both verbally and in written materials; be able to defend this position in a team environment, including Investment Committee meetings.

• Support Senior staff on sourcing and managing the investment processes, with a particular focus on secondaries transactions.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics or Accounting, or equivalent relevant.

• Demonstrated track record of academic and professional success.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to represent the Firm credibly in written and interpersonal communications.

• Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/modeling skills, previous secondaries experience a plus.

• Leadership potential.

• High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Flexibility-StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions as the firm continues to grow and develop.

• Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Foreign language skills (desirable).

Salary Range: $64,000.00 - $96,000.00
