Logistics Analyst, Warehouse
This role requires the ability to analyze and summarize information while troubleshooting a wide range of issues. The Logistics Analyst manages and designs warehouse databases, troubleshoots issues as they arrive. Logistics analyst will evaluate data and make recommendations to management on how to improve data flow, reporting and business issues. This position requires strong written and analytical skills and the ability to work in a cross functional teams-based environment to accomplish strategic and tactical goals.
A Day in the Life of a Logistics Analyst, Warehouse:
Do you enjoy?
Handling relationships with customers and third-party logistics providers; identifying and documenting warehouse and customer requirements, expectations and needs.
Partnering with warehouse representatives for problem resolution; provide recommendations and corrective actions to the Director, North America.
Analyzing warehouse metrics and summarize results through daily, weekly and monthly reports to internal management and external providers.
Ensuring timely decisions are made for issues requiring immediate attention; use internal/external partner insights and data to guide decisions.
Crafting and implementing detailed research process for warehouse interface kickouts / discrepancies
Identifying and initiating process changes with warehouses/transportation/internal systems issues affecting work processes
Analyzing and maintaining contracted domestic warehousing rates to meet operational needs.
Identifying and pursuing opportunities for continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce cost via system enhancements, procedure changes, etc.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, International Business or Business Administration.
Preferred: 1-2 years of supply chain experience.
Experience in North America logistics/operations.
Working knowledge of SAP/ERP.
Knowledge of logistics terminology and relevant data elements for reporting/analysis.
Ability to communicate at a variety of levels internally and externally, written and verbal.
Highly organized with the ability to manage carrier accounts and to work in a demanding, dynamic environment.
Validated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to acquire new skills and conduct research independently.
Excellent communicator with the ability to build and handle relationships.
Competency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
