Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Analyst, Indirect Sourcing & Procurement at our client. This position will play a critical role for LogicSource providing an analytical & reporting function to support sourcing operations and the onsite team. The scope for this role will be focused on several major indirect categories including Corporate Services, IT, Marketing Print, Marketing Services, Distribution & Logistics, Tail Spend and Facilities. The role will report to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement - Indirect.


  • Analyze and produce meaningful interpretations and actionable results from spend tools (OneMarket Insights) and other client data

  • Provide procurement and analytical support to Indirect Procurement team

  • Collaborate with the Client's internal stakeholders to identify and secure relevant data for analysis

  • Track, monitor and report on delivery of savings targets

  • Support development of Quarterly Business Reviews including developing analytics to report on sourcing progress and savings results

  • Deliver on-going analytical support to Category Directors including root cause analysis, cost pattern analysis, SRM development, supplier score carding, and total cost reviews

  • Deliver on-going analytical support to Sourcing Managers and the Center of Excellence (COE) including analyzing RFP results, comparing pricing and calculating savings

  • Lead activities throughout procurement and sourcing team to monitor spend under management and spend under contract

  • Read and extract inconsistencies within contracts and add value by outlining required SLAs

  • Monitor and report on key performance initiatives (KPIs) such as savings vs. baseline, purchase compliance to contract rates and usage versus demand management forecasts

  • Leverage operational data to drive continual process improvement, including value engineering of specifications, supplier consolidation and geographic/freight-based opportunities

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with all client policies and procedures including legal and regulatory

  • Maintain efficient and courteous relationship with client, vendors, and internal client contractors

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, economics or accounting

  • 3+ years of experience in analysis, financial and/or operational reporting roles

  • Fluent with reporting systems, internet research, and general forms of technical infrastructure

  • Proficient at Excel/financial analysis and planning

  • Ability to turn complex data into meaningful reports

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Exposure to strategic sourcing, procurement, contract administration, and/or project management processes

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, make sound business decisions, and find hidden opportunities


This position requires very limited to no travel.

About This Role: The Senior Financial Analyst plays a vital role in helping business leaders understand the major trends influencing Forrester's financial results. The Senior Financial Analyst leads or contributes meaningfully to the following key financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes for his/her assigned business units. Job Description: * Partner with business leaders, and maintain a productive relationship that ensures visibility and understanding of key financial and business drivers and facilitates fluid and effective decision-making. * Maintain long range forecast, and drive completion of annual budget for bookings, revenues, and expenses. * Account close and quality control review of financial results, including analysis of bookings (sales), revenues, and expenses as appropriate. * Manage monthly financial reviews, including slide deck preparation and presentation of variance analysis and results commentary compared to plan and prior year to business unit and finance leadership. * Roll monthly forecast updates in collaboration with business unit leaders including analysis and commentary on risks, opportunities, and actionable course correction recommendations. * Process weekly resource planning to drive optimization of available people and nonpeople resources. * Monitor the FP&A planning system and processes related to monthly close and management reporting. * Evolution of financial models and processes for continuous efficiency and quality improvement. * Support special projects such as strategic planning, business case preparation, external benchmarking, mergers and acquisitions support, etc. Job Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in a business discipline with minimum of five years of experience; an MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus. * A solid understanding of database structure (customer relationship management, data warehouse, enterprise resource planning, etc.); experience with cloud-based planning platforms is a plus, and experience with Anaplan modeling is strongly preferred. * Experience with public midsize services businesses and/or subscription revenue models is a plus. * A polished professional with good presentation skills. * A team player who can partner effectively with peers and senior leaders. * An independent thinker with a sense of urgency, a commitment to quality, and the ability to prioritize effort in a fast-paced environment. * Advanced knowledge of Excel (analyzing large data sets, financial modeling, etc.).
