What You Will Do:
Receive and review first and third party applications for permanent crossings and temporary activities affecting Enbridge assets, and issue permits in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards with minimal supervision
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and technical departments in assessing applications that require further technical and/or legal review
Proactively identify risks and prevent damage to company facilities posed by planned activities
Build and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Support regulatory compliance and provide crossing activity guidance to internal and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate and organized records of permitted crossing activity, subject to inspection and audit by regulators and internal audit services
Provide internal project support for crossing requirements by reviewing scope and crossing plans and reviewing and negotiating agreements.
Provide support and assistance to members of Engineering Projects, Law, Safety and Operations in order to facilitate business initiatives and legal compliance.
Provides assistance and guidance to crossing applicants, foreign facility owners, landowners and ensures compliance of design codes, standards and regulations.
Review and respond to third party industry notifications
Who You Are:
Required:
Minimum 2 years experience in land management field; Undergraduate degree/diploma in land management/administration or related discipline or related experience
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements
Ability to review and comprehend detailed plans and legal agreements
High level of interpersonal skills and initiative in dealing with a variety of external and internal customers and stakeholders (regulators, lawyers, industry, government, landowners and internal departments)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills - ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to all audiences
Effective negotiation skills
High proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Team-oriented, positive attitude and exceptional attention to detail
Preferred:
General knowledge of pipeline construction, maintenance and operations activities
Professional Designation from the International Right of Way Association and/or equivalent designation and/or other real estate or land related background
Experience with Land Databases such as GIS, Esri and Google Earth considered an asset
