Investment Risk and Analytical Services (IRAS) providesperformance measurement and investment analysis across multiple clientsegments: Corporate ERISA, Public Funds, Foundations and Endowments, WealthManagement, Global Family Office and Sovereign Wealth Funds. IRAS utilizes a suiteof proprietary reporting applications to deliver a broad range of investmentanalysis from rates of return and asset allocation reporting to benchmarkcomparisons and attribution analysis. This analysis supports the evaluation, measurement and decision makingprocess of key constituents. Furthermore, once hired, the analyst will be assigned a client desk loadand be responsible for ensuring performance reporting and ad-hoc requests aredelivered to the client base in a timely and accurate manner.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Work in tandem with performance consultants analyzing,preparing, and validating client reports and presentations.
Work with internal operations partners to ensure theaccuracy and timeliness of all information provided to clients.
Monitor the completeness and appropriateness of investmentmanager data to be included in asset class composites, and utilize multipleapplications to prepare both standard and custom reporting deliverables.
Work with clients to help them interpret performance andattribution data to better understand the impact of their investment decisions.
Regularly interface with clients to determine servicerequirements, provide training, and are responsible for independentlyevaluating and responding to client inquiries.
1-2 years of experience in investment analysis,or trust-investment related background, investments operations or transferableexperience from a related field
Be well versed in market trends as well as thefinancial concepts underlying return calculations for Equity, Fixed Income and
Alternative asset classes.
Excellent business judgment is required in orderto quickly assess a situation and proactively develop solutions to complexclient needs.
Knowledge generally acquired through anundergraduate degree program, related work experience or progress towardscertifications such as the CIPM, CAIA, or CFA.
Use of Microsoft Office tools, advanced Excelskills preferred.
Exposure to Northern Trust or third partyfinancial software is a plus.
Strong organizational, written, and verbalclient servicing skills.
Excellent time management and multi-taskingskills.
Progress towards certifications such as the CIPMor CFA is a plus.
