ECS is seeking an Analyst Intermediate to work in our Dahlgren, VA office.

Job Description:

Functions as a member of a financial team supporting one of the Sea-Based Weapons System project offices in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares funding documents using the DAI finance & accounting system

  • Maintain accounting log (log/status for all funding documents)

  • Conducts financial execution record keeping and analysis

  • Reconcile DAI/1002 status.

  • Generate financial reports.

  • Reconcile unliquidated obligations (ULOs).

  • Resolve unmatched disbursements (UMDs).

  • Build DAR-Q reports.

  • Conduct year-end close out of expiring funds.

  • Resolve DAI/PRIDE system errors (document issues /status inaccuracies/monitor help desk tickets)

Required Skills:

  • Associates Degree

  • Either have, or the ability to obtain, a DoD secret clearance

  • At least four years of experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) financial management environment.

  • Proficiency with a DoD finance and accounting system. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • Missile Defense Agency experience; DAI proficiency; CDFM certification.

  • DAU BFM Level II Certification.

  • MS Access proficiency.

Job Description: This individual will support the Missile Defense Agency Lifecycle Management Directorate (MDA/LMD) and element stakeholders. The individual in this position will provide technical and analytical expertise for the acquisition logistics planning and execution of a Major Program Office for the MDA Aegis Sea-Based Weapon System directorate. Responsibilities include performing multi-functional logistics management in support of MDA's goals and mission and the following: * Ability to work as an effective team member * Solve complex life-cycle logistics issues * Apply sound judgment to develop life-cycle logistics policies, plans, procedures and documents * Ability to identify and apply concepts, policies and practices of logistics management as they apply to new and legacy systems during the sustainment phase of the life cycle * Use the methods and tools to effectively mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessing risk areas and developing risk management options * Working knowledge of continuous process improvement and contract management Required Skills: * BA/BS in Life Cycle Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, or similar logistics specialty or BA/ BS in an unrelated field with 5 years of logistics experience. * An AA/AS may be substituted for the BA/ BS when combined with a total of 10 years logistics experience. * Position requires a Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain said clearance. * Must have 5 years of lifecycle logistics, with at least 3 years of that experience as a primary or staff action officer, or a civilian manager or logistics analyst. * Specialized Education: Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Life Cycle Logistics level 2, or DAU Program Management level 2, or civilian equivalent. Civilian equivalent includes Program Management Professional (PgMP} Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP} Certification, or one of the following Society of Logistics Engineers Certifications: Certified Professional Logistician, or Demonstrated Master Logistician, or Certified Senior Logistician, or can attain one of the certifications within 12 months; A BA/BS in Life Cycle Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, or similar logistics specialty degree may be substituted for the DAU or civilian experience. * Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Possess an ability to work independently and solve complex life cycle logistics problems. * Effective written and oral communication skills. Desired Skills: * Experience in DoD (prefer Navy) Acquisition Logistics, knowledge of ballistic missile defense systems to identify issues and concerns with training, delivery schedules and system modifications.
