About the position
As an Analyst, Insurance you must be a self-starter, well organized, be able to multi-task and enjoy the challenge of taking on new and exciting opportunities in a fast-paced highly entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities include the following:
Assist with open claims related to construction projects, operating fleet, and auto rental incidents.
Compile, update and follow up on claim status by working closely with the insurance team, Asset Management and other internal departments.
Support the insurance team during financing and refinancing in the US and international projects.
Coordinate and assist with lenders and counterparty insurance certificates, broker letters and officer certificates.
Support with the preparation of annual insurance budget for Asset Management department.
Assist with insurance invoices and purchase order requests for premium payments and other expenses.
Research and resolve insurance premium invoice discrepancies, and provide support to the insurance team in the management of company assets under insurance coverage; project site fleet of vehicles, corporate and project office location assets, projects' statements of value, annual projects' production, and leased equipment at project sites.
Review, verify and package information and applications for insurance renewal processes.
Assist in developing presentations to use for internal and/or external purposes.
Assist with the scheduling and coordination of annual risk engineering and jurisdictional reports; reconcile and follow up on recommendations and Plant Manager responses.
Develop an understanding of the department's priorities and flag for review with internal or external parties.
Assist with special projects including the "open items" list, and work closely with outside insurance broker to develop and communicate expectations.
Provide support to ad hoc requirements as they may arise.
Bachelor's Degree in actuarial sciences, finance, business administration, economics or accounting.
Strong working knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables .
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
Able to manage tight deadlines with an attentiveness to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and across different departments.
Quick thinker and creative problem solver.
Able to deal with rapid growth in constantly changing internal and external environments.
