About the position

As an Analyst, Insurance you must be a self-starter, well organized, be able to multi-task and enjoy the challenge of taking on new and exciting opportunities in a fast-paced highly entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist with open claims related to construction projects, operating fleet, and auto rental incidents.

  • Compile, update and follow up on claim status by working closely with the insurance team, Asset Management and other internal departments.

  • Support the insurance team during financing and refinancing in the US and international projects.

  • Coordinate and assist with lenders and counterparty insurance certificates, broker letters and officer certificates.

  • Support with the preparation of annual insurance budget for Asset Management department.

  • Assist with insurance invoices and purchase order requests for premium payments and other expenses.

  • Research and resolve insurance premium invoice discrepancies, and provide support to the insurance team in the management of company assets under insurance coverage; project site fleet of vehicles, corporate and project office location assets, projects' statements of value, annual projects' production, and leased equipment at project sites.

  • Review, verify and package information and applications for insurance renewal processes.

  • Assist in developing presentations to use for internal and/or external purposes.

  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of annual risk engineering and jurisdictional reports; reconcile and follow up on recommendations and Plant Manager responses.

  • Develop an understanding of the department's priorities and flag for review with internal or external parties.

  • Assist with special projects including the "open items" list, and work closely with outside insurance broker to develop and communicate expectations.

  • Provide support to ad hoc requirements as they may arise.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in actuarial sciences, finance, business administration, economics or accounting.

  • Strong working knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables .

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to manage tight deadlines with an attentiveness to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and across different departments.

  • Quick thinker and creative problem solver.

  • Able to deal with rapid growth in constantly changing internal and external environments.

  • Ability to adapt to change, embrace ambiguity and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Demonstrated strong personal work ethic to ensure tasks are achieved on time.

Centric Consulting is hiring Data Transformation Analysts for our National team. Data Analysts are the important link on projects, helping bridge the gap between different teams while also making sure the clients' business problems and needs are understood. Centric offers both a local model with minimal travel as well as a National travel model. This role would involve regular travel (typically within the US). This is a mid-level full-time/contract opportunity. Summary The Data Transformation Analyst is responsible for developing data models and then specifying how raw source data is transformed into those models. The responsibility for data accuracy rests on your shoulders. You will partner with a Business Analytics Designer to ensure a high-quality data warehouse and visualization solutions. What You Will Do * Review existing business requirements: UML information models, business and metric definitions, analytics use cases and visualization specs * Design data models to meet business requirements * Maintain data models in a data-modeling tool (e.g. Enterprise Architect, Erwin, etc.) * Physically implement data models in a database and then manage in source control * Analyze source data * Interact with business stakeholders to determine how to handle data quality and data governance concerns. * Develop and document SQL queries to extract data from the source system in a fully transformed state. * Communicate SQL specifications to ETL developers * Conduct code reviews and data reviews to ensure the transformations where implemented per your specification. * Participate in data validation and testing Desired Skills Mandatory skills – these will be assessed Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required * Very strong SQL skills * Forensic data analysis skills * Experience writing sophisticated data transformations * Data steward or other data governance responsibilities * Strong written and verbal communication Target Experience 5+ years' experience around the skills mentioned above Why Centric?
