We are currently seeking an Information Technology Analyst to provide support to our Executive organization in El Segundo, CA. Although this position will be located at our El Segundo, CA office, you must be willing to occasionally travel to other Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities within the United States. This role will provide the Information Technology (IT) Executive support. As an IT 'trusted advisor' supporting part of the next layer of Aerojet Rocketdyne Executives this is your opportunity to provide 'white glove' support and make bold moves to drive our business success.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

The successful individual will provide leadership and guidance by incorporating enterprise, business and vendor initiatives/needs within programs/projects; IT risk support, business-as-usual activities including support for issues and ad-hoc requests, functionality enablement, and managing vendor IT performance metrics. Identify and represent technological trends, leveraging potential impact on business strategies and objectives. Develop and maintain positive client relationships, coordinating with various functions to ensure IT requests are handled appropriately and efficiently. Coordinate with third-party partners, including IT outsourcing team, for around-the-clock support. Provide service-centric support to all executive organizational levels, including application, desktop, and networking issues.

In this role, you will responsible for the support of executive user desktop, laptop, phone, mobile device hardware, software and break/fix services. Troubleshoot and repair audio visual / computer systems and peripheral equipment, by responding to incidents and service requests either in person, by phone or via remote access. Provide timely resolution of incidents or escalations on behalf of the customer, to appropriate technical staff, as well as identify ways to mitigate recurring issues. Casual Business attire (i.e., long-sleeved dress shirt, slacks, dress shoes).
50% - Provide end-to-end IT support to the Executives and their direct staff (including travel assistance).
15% - Support the bi-monthly Board of Directors, Annual Shared Holders Meetings and other executive conferences.
15% - Identify opportunities and services available to build a competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness for the Executives and their staff.
10% - Manage the hardware inventory housed at the El Segundo location.
10% - Maintain knowledge of IT industry trends and understanding of risk management.


Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related technology field and at least 3 years of experience in network and server infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

U.S. Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Additional Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+, Dell TCO, Network +, MCSE and other technical certifications.

  • Active Directory knowledge.

  • ITIL Service Management experience.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by handling customer complaints with tact and diplomacy.

  • Capable of addressing and resolving IT issues proactively, promptly, effectivity and independently.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with Aerojet Rocketdyne departments and vendors.

  • Flexible mindset to evaluate and prioritize work with a sense of urgency.

  • Strong knowledge of Dell business hardware (OptiPlex / Latitude) and software (Adobe Acrobat, AT&T Connect, Cisco WebEx, Cisco Jabber, Cisco VoIP, Cisco VPN, Citrix Receiver,); Windows 7 & 10, Microsoft Office suite (2010, 2016, O365), Microsoft Outlook, HP and Xerox printer platforms, Blackberry Access and Work, Two-Factor Authentication technologies (e.g., Duo, Gemalto and Symantec VIP).

  • Advanced knowledge of mobile products: Android, Google Pixel, iPhone and iPad.

  • Vast knowledge of audio visual technology (e.g., BiAMP, Cisco Telepresence, Extron, Shure, Samsung) to support Executive conferences.

  • Ability to write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in easy-to-understand terms for the customer.

  • Discipline to understand and participate in change control, checklists, and repeatable processes.

  • Demonstrate self-reliance and resourcefulness.

  • Remain calm and professional while effectively handling multiple demands.

  • Industry experience ideally in Executive support services, Aerospace, Deskside support, Call Center environment.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs. with occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level required. May require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
