The Analyst III/Contract Administration assists the Manager/Contract Administration by overseeing data request responses, preparing and reviewing budget variance reports, tracking all construction bid projects, conducting complex contractual analyses, and providing advanced expert input to the other department analysts. These tasks are in addition to performing routine contract administration duties including preparing, reviewing, negotiating, awarding, and administrating service contracts, leases, and agreements for Southwest Gas Corporation ("Company").
POSITION DIMENSIONS
This position does not have accountability for personnel or budgets but is responsible to prepare and review budget variance reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience in contract administration or related field plus a bachelor's degree in contract management, acquisition, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communications skills and a high degree of independent problem solving abilities are required to successfully perform the duties of this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review budget variance reports
Track all construction bid projects
Conduct complex contractual analyses
Provide advanced expert support to Analyst II/Contract Administration
Review all contracts and change orders to ensure quality and compliance with Company policies and procedures
Assist Company personnel in complying with policies and procedures when procuring services, and ensure ethical business practices are maintained
Analyze and evaluate proposals and recommend contract awards
Formulate and work with department representatives in preparing contract packages
Conduct pre-bid meetings and facilitate bidding processes ensuring fairness for all bidders
Work with service providers and Legal Affairs to coordinate the review, revisions, and approval of service provider agreements
Negotiate contract rates and terms to maximize value and minimize liability
Interpret contract terms and conditions and implement revisions when necessary
Assist Company personnel in evaluating service providers to help ensure bidders are qualified and maintain compliance with Company requirements
Facilitate contract disputes between Company personnel and service providers
Comprehend applicable laws, rules, and regulations to ensure Company compliance
Ensure compliance with Company's Supplier Diversity Program
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

SALARY DETAILS
$74,199 - $111,299
