Position Title: Analyst II Logistics - INBOUND OPERATIONS

Position Location: Salisbury, NC or Carlisle, Scarborough, ME or Quincy, MA

Position Summary:

Responsible for daily execution and tracking of freight across the Ahold Delhaize America businesses. Work collectively across all Ahold Delhaize America banners and Shared Services to ensure that managed freight flows optimally throughout the Supply Chain.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

  • Analyze all Customer Pickup loads delivering into assigned region/s for optimization opportunities and tender to carrier.

  • Check PO notifications from CRP vendors daily to verify correct receipt of all orders, weights, dates & pickup locations

  • Communicates with vendors and Inventory Analysts on any PO#'s that did not transmit or transmitted incorrectly

  • Combine multiple PO#'s, Adjust weights on PO's, adjust pick up days based on information provided by the vendor and/or as identified by self for DA gain ie: bracket pricing, efficiency programs, freight expense reduction.

  • Work closely with vendors and Inventory Analysts on any orders that need date changes

  • Expedite any PO#'s the buyer/vendor may need earlier than requested date-sometimes needing same day pickup

  • Identify and assist Supply Chain Analytics with possible Customer Pickup opportunities

  • Responsible for recruiting new carriers to Customer Pickup program

  • Coordinate all freight claim research, filing and resolution for Customer Pickup loads

  • Coordinate all drop trailer contracts for all DC's

  • Work closely with vendor's shipping department to insure timely loading of trucks for loads to reduce amount of detention

  • Work closely with carriers to improve on-time delivery performance

  • Send detailed report daily on Customer Pickup late loads to all buyers, Logistics & all DC's

  • Assist DC's when they are missing bills for loads

  • Assist DC's with notifying carriers when envelopes are needed to mail bill of ladings to the carrier

  • Research past due and balance due invoices from carriers

  • Take calls from prepaid carriers needing delivery appointments.

  • Assist Truck Appointments when needed to schedule prepaid loads

  • Fax POD requests to vendors and carriers.

  • Maintain fuel surcharge scales for various vendors weekly and monthly.

  • Train carriers to use current TMS system

  • Continuously search for the most efficient freight rate

  • Work closely with Team Leaders helping to identify opportunities for optimization

  • Perform analysis on various lanes (CPU, allowance vs expense, Alternative Product Flow, etc.)

  • Liaison for communication flow with Distribution, Transportation, Category Management and Replenishment

  • Execute transfers and rush deliveries at the request of Replenishment/Category

  • Assist in disaster recovery efforts due to natural disaster or weather events

  • Other projects and analyses to be performed as identified and assigned by Team Leader

  • Provide support for motivating peers and function as an effective promoter of change and growth.

  • Provide support for the implementation of a continuous improvement culture

  • Serve as a member of key teams and committees as needed

Responsible for the development, talent planning and performance management of self.

Requirements Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • Experience with the following computer programs: SEGA, DSS, LlamaSoft, WMS, PFT, Inforem, Tableau, Revionics, MSP

  • Collaboration experience with vendors, transportation providers, & third party consultants

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of the trucking industry, distribution, and/or replenishment functions

  • Basic professional level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs

  • Requires travel - typically 8 - 12%

  • Demonstrate a personal acceptance of change and the ability to adapt and drive change

  • Demonstrate an ability to implement and analyze retail business using consumer insights and analyzing trends.

  • Active listener with an ability to build trust across varying levels of the organization

Position Title: VIC Analyst II Position Location: Scarborough, ME or Salisbury, NC or Quincy, MA or Carlisle, PA Position Summary: This associate will be charged with supporting the Vendor Inbound Compliance (VIC) Program and will support similar Procurement Programs under the ADUSA organization. This person will serve as the key contact for Inbound Compliance with the Brands and collectively drive initiatives and opportunities in collaboration with the Preferred Program. This person will be required to interact extensively throughout the organization with a strong presence with Distribution & Transportation Operations, Logistics, Finance, IT and the broader Supplier Community that is expected to be involved in these processes. This associate will be responsible for supporting and driving the company's new way of working within the VIC channel and through extensive internal and external collaboration, influence change, reduce error, drive collaboration, and enhance Warehouse operations. This individual will be required to understand the Vendor Inbound flow of goods from order conception Receipt of goods and possess strong root causal identification skills to bring forth holistic solutions, process refinement and alternative methodologies. This individual will be responsible for implementing and maintaining training at Warehouses and within Internal Supply Chain and Brand teams and will be directly accountable for specific future growth targets. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: * A lead role in our VIC supply chain with the responsibility of maintaining strong collaborative relationships and influence across many levels within the Brands, Warehouses, and Supplier community * Responsibility to ensure that VIC & Preferred programs deliver the expected results for our Brand and Supplier partners * Manage VIC program concerns and execution by partnering extensively with the Brands, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Operations * Leverage the Procurement programs as a means of accountability, with the goal of driving rapid resolution, and improving vendor performance * Manage Supplier relationships within the VIC program providing insight, solutions and alternatives methodologies * Partner with the Preferred Lead and the organization to assess alternative methodologies and industry trends, providing strategic vision and direction * Partner on a regular basis with Warehouse Operations to measure results, drive efficiencies, and assess vendor performance. * Drive change-management within our strategic partners through continuous improvement, implementing new processes and ensures these processes support the brand strategies and goals. * Leverage the collective knowledge from the Team, Internal Supply Chain and the Industry to drive "Best Practice" behavior with the Brands and Vendors. * Measure Vendor performance against KPIs, perform analysis, and create period reporting to drive hold our Vendors accountable and to provide executive updates. * Work directly with the analyst team to confirm or refute assumptions, harness data and deliver impactful and actionable insights. * Manage the ownership and access to internal vendor dispute email inboxes and provide investigations, research, resolutions, and adherence to policy and procedure in resolving vendor disputes. * Answer questions, provide specific details in reference to the Transportation Routing Guide, and provide training to stake holders within VIC.
