  • Perform a detailed interpretation and analysis of leases, agreements, title opinions, operating agreements, and other contracts and legal documents to prepare and setup record title ownership spreadsheets and decks

  • Work closely with appropriate Land personnel to gain approval of division of interest ownership in order to setup and maintain JIB and revenue decks. Gain approval of management

  • Work with various accounting personnel to notify of decks to use in accounting processes

  • Ensure timely payment of royalties in compliance with state statutes to avoid punitive interest penalties

  • Review, verify and accurately setup outside-operated oil and gas division orders.

  • Follow-up with operators and purchasers to ensure timely payment of proceeds from production of Company owned assets

  • Review title, request or investigate records for proper documentation and process all changes of interest ownership timely

  • Work as a clean-up analyst for revisions to division of interests managed initially by Senior D.O. staff

  • Facilitate request for changes to Revenue/JIB owner contact information.

  • Work in connection with Land group to cure title defects that affect division of interest ownership and suspense

  • Send required correspondence to owners to cure title and process return receipt of requirements.

  • Review and maintenance of suspense ledger by owner account. Assist other department personnel as needed to escheat owner accounts, as required by various state laws

  • Setup and maintenance of decks outside of well type cost centers

  • Various other projects or duties as assigned


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or similar discipline

  • At least 3+ years' experience in a Division Order Analyst position

  • Strong working knowledge of Division Order, legal and/or title experience preferred

  • Ability to ensure SOX compliance with all tasks performed within the scope of division order related processes

  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to effectively communicate information to (especially via email and phone) and work with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Self-motivated, with ability to work with minimal instruction

  • Microsoft Office ( i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Accounting Software (P2 Excalibur), Pelaton systems (Wellview and Siteview), P2 Merrick (Carte), AFE Workflows (P2 AFE), and Accurint

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years land industry experience. * Ability to perform duties based on standard directions and processes. * Basic knowledge of Division Order practices and policies and can apply that knowledge to the work. * Ability to analyze identified issues. * Understands the role of Division Orders within the Land Department. * Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team. * Ability to effectively communicate information to (especially via email and phone) and work with all levels of the organization. * Ability to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite requires. * Familiarity with P2 Excalibur, P2 Merrick, P2 AFE, Drilling Info and Accurint preferred. * Ability to demonstrate integrity in work product and in dealing with coworkers. * Committed to teamwork * Strong attention to detail * Flexible regarding workload and priorities Diamondback Energy Oklahoma City OK
