The High Jewelry Analytics and Process Excellence Analyst will primarily support the Director with reporting and analytics needs for the High Jewelry Procurement team, developing and maintaining reports and analyses for the internal use and consumption of the High Jewelry teams. The Analyst will also champion excellence, in an effort to streamline processes across the organization and optimizing efficiencies in the procurement of diamonds and gemstones.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting & Analytics:
Partner with Director to develop reports to monitor and report on key metrics that align with High Jewelry Procurement strategy:
Develops and maintains reports and analyses to meet the needs of the business
Ensures data integrity and accurate reporting for High Jewelry Procurement team
Draws insights from reporting and shares results with VP/Director and Management
Analyzes current metrics while pursuing improvements and new metrics
Supports VP and Director in preparing tools & analyses for ad hoc projects
Provide reporting as needed to support cross-functional teams
Lead the development and maintenance of various procurement-related databases and trackers in partnership with Procurement teams; including but not limited to buy lists, loose event consignment tracker, procurement pricing workbooks, stone processing, etc.
Support Director with execution of annual budget & forecast analyses for the High Jewelry category, and partner with Finance on accurate reporting of actual and projected purchases for the High Jewelry Procurement team.
Support Director with managing the loose stone assortments for Consignment events; partner with cross-functional teams to update JDE costs for negotiated stones; and work with the VP/Director and Operations to process payment to suppliers
Work with High Jewelry Procurement Management teams (VP, Directors, Managers) with additional reporting & analytics projects as requested or necessary
Process Excellence
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather procurement needs passed from Category Management and/or Demand Planning; and convert to Buy List for procurement teams, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Partner with Procurement teams to create weekly Stone Review meeting lists; distribute meeting lists and post-meeting recaps to cross-functional teams; and work with Project Analysts on post-meeting updates to ensure stones flow through processing in a timely manner
Support Director in ongoing assessment of existing processes and process improvement opportunities for High Jewelry Procurement team in an effort to optimize operational efficiency
Partner with cross-functional teams to execute process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain Visio process flows and Standard Operating Procedures in an effort to promote standardized processes
Oversee the team's centralized SharePoint/Teams site and contents stored within, including but not limited to maintenance and organization of files and user access
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics
Experience working with large datasets; including data discovery, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presenting actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to work in detail with accuracy
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with multiple staff and management levels
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities; demonstrate agility to support changing needs of the business
Ability to work as part of a team or independently
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with predictive modeling, Tableau, SQL, and/or programming languages
Lean Six Sigma
The hiring range for this position ranges from $67,405 - $85,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
