The Global Marketing Platforms Team - part of AMEX's Enterprise Platforms group - is looking for an energetic, strategic thinker to drive improvements to our marketing portal products and enable new capabilities. Our focus is on providing groundbreaking marketing technologies, which enable our marketers to foster business growth, digital engagement, and customer experiences - in both the US and globally - by changing the way they market and communicate with our business customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Portals Product Owner to deliver improvements and new capabilities. You will do this by deeply understanding customer needs, and becoming a subject matter expert on our platforms and business processes.

  • Work with our scrum team. Ensure that the engineers and testers on our team understand our products and the capabilities we're building. Create and maintain stories and documentation in partnership with the Product Owner. Conduct analysis and find answers to the team's questions as they have them.

  • Partner with our stakeholders. Be a part of conversations with our marketing, data, sales, technology, and compliance partners to understand business needs and advocate, as needed, for the optimal solution. Help prioritize capabilities and manage team capacity by articulating trade-offs. Serve as a bridge between business and technology, building common understanding and ensuring that the relevant parties are on the same page.

Qualifications

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in a role that requires an in-depth understanding of both business and technology

  • You have experience working with the Salesforce Sales Cloud (ADM-201 certification is a plus, but not required)

  • You have excellent communications skills and are able to gain alignment, influence priorities, and build positive relationships

  • You are passionate about learning how complex systems and processes work, and how to make them better

  • You have strong project management and analysis skills

  • You have experience with Agile software development methodology.

This team works heavily in the B2B email space, but you should be open-minded and experienced with other channels as that is where we also want to be for our customers. Finally, you will have a real passion for marketing capabilities and digital communications, and this will show when you partner with colleagues across the Blue Box - both in the US and globally. Key Responsibilities * You will work with our business partners and technology teams to ensure readiness of user stories and features * You will lead efforts to ensure key platform health safeguards are in-place, and collaborate across teams to resolve issues may be affecting our customers * You will partner with our marketing partners to continuously communicate our portfolio's value proposition while getting a better understanding of their needs and pain-points * You will balance business needs and technical options and be an advocate for the optimal solution * You will help us identify industry trends and highlight new innovations as opportunities to better serve our customers * You will liaise with our vendor partners to derive the most value from those key relationships Qualifications * Familiarity with the email marketing space is preferred * Strong project management and analytical abilities * 1-2 years of digital marketing and/or product experience * HTML and email best practice experience * Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment preferred * Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization using strong relationship-building skills.
