Analyst - Gas Supplier Services

Position Informaion;

Location: Binghamton, NY

Pay Range: $62,900 - $78,700

Schedule: Office

JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

Responsible for critical operational tasks needed to balance the wholesale gas market on a daily basis using customized software in accordance with current and future tariff requirements. Responsibilities include ESCO (Energy Service Company) nominations, running forecasts, backcasts and settlement for gas customers, capacity releases, infield transfers, imbalance trading, daily metered customer switches, ESCO billing and reconciliations. Responsibilities also include analysis required for responding to ESCO questions and/or concerns.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1.Runs forecasts, backcasts and settlement for gas customers, capacity releases, infield transfers, imbalance trading, daily metered customer switches, ESCO billing and reconciliation. (50%,P)

2.Confirms ESCO nominations. (20%,P)

3.Perform analysis required for responding to ESCO questions and/or concerns. (20%,P)

4.Responsible for off-hour operations and ESCO operational issues. (5%,S)

5.Support regulatory compliance as required (GTOP manual, GMOG meetings, etc.) (5%,S)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 5 years relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Knowledge of Retail Access gas programs and interstate pipelines.

Experience with the gas pipeline bulletin boards: Dekaflow, Navigates, Empire, Link, Iroquois, etc.

Skills/Abilities:

Analytical, mathematical, problem solving, and computer skills focusing on MS Excel.

Strong organizational skills.

Good verbal and written skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Must be available on-call.

Able to work in a team oriented environment.
