Job Summary:

The position of Fund Management Analyst plays a crucial role in the management, monitoring, and analysis of our real estate investment portfolios and separate accounts. This encompasses performing quantitative analysis, preparing and maintaining investor reporting deliverables, and managing asset-level strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in the real estate market, particularly in investment properties with 1 year or less of experience.

  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, capable of interpreting financial data and market trends.

  • Proficiency in financial software systems, specifically Excel and Argus.

  • Excellent organizational abilities coupled with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with the team.

  • Flexibility and responsiveness in adjusting analytical thinking based on changing information, exhibiting a positive attitude while maintaining focus and effectiveness under the pressure of deadline-driven situations.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships, effectively communicate ideas, and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate and/or Finance preferred.

Job Functions:

  • Perform financial modeling techniques and quantitative analysis, including development and maintenance of fund and asset-level financial models using Excel and Argus Enterprise, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, returns benchmarking, liquidity/ distribution analyses, and acquisition/disposition considerations.

  • Compile and aggregate asset-level data to prepare quarterly and annual fund reports, respond to investor requests, and create marketing materials.

  • Facilitate the quarterly appraisal process, ensuring effective coordination between asset management, fund management, and the third-party appraisal firm.

  • Review asset management model outputs to fund management and accurately and timely compile fund roll-ups for Investment Committee.

  • Stay updated on asset-level strategies, including leasing activity, capital projects, and underwriting assumptions.

  • Conduct market research upon request; compile lease and building comparable sets as well as macroeconomic, market-specific, and industry-specific data and trends.

  • Assist in the preparation of investor presentations, updates, and reports on investments.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned work, adhering to set guidelines and quality standards.

  • Support the Fund Management team in various operational tasks.

  • Role requires flexibility and commitment in terms of availability, including working overtime and adapting to potential evening and weekend work schedules in alignment with business needs. Timely responses to requests and proactive communication, particularly when seeking guidance on deadlines, are key expectations of this role.
