We are continually considering candidates for our Analyst roles across our industry-based teams. These are roles where you could design and deliver research for well-known brands you would recognize. This is not an entry-level position. You should have at least 1 - 3 years of work experience to qualify.

Our industry groups have a diverse set of clients offering you the chance to work on projects ranging from large quant studies that are fielded internationally, or smaller highly custom studies that may include a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodololgies to manage. In addition, we have internal experts to help you learn and grow analytically, plus navigate the nuances of our clients' business or industry.

Analysts are typically responsible for supporting the design, analysis and reporting for quantitative and qualitative projects. Analysts maintain data integrity, use a variety of analytic techniques to understand data and relay the implications of the results to the project team. This position is responsible for ensuring that project deliverables address client objectives and accurately present findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.


  • Participate in study design meetings with project team and/or clients.

  • Execute research projects using a variety of research methodologies

  • Demonstrate understanding of survey sampling concepts, their impact, and use.

  • Draft questionnaires using our preferred questionnaire writing processes.

  • Use Market Strategies tools and/or technology to format surv eys and prepare for programming.

  • Monitor the quality of the data and discard non-qualified respondents (set and apply strike criteria).

  • Execute phases of the analysis plan with guidance from experienced team members.

  • Analyze research results and create graphical displays to convey the implications of the data.

  • Create reports that include effective graphs, tables, summaries, and narratives.


  • Must have a Bachelor degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of prior Market Research experience (as Intern or entry-level market research role).

  • Prefer 2 3 years prior work experience in market research supplier role.

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of basic statistics, research procedures, and survey methodology.

  • Proficiency in SPSS required.

  • Experience with data mapping, troubleshooting data that doesnt make sense, weighting data, etc.

  • Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must show strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail abilities.

  • Works well on multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The AFDP program is designed for recent finance and accounting graduates who exhibit potential to grow into finance leaders within Akamai and advance within the organization to leadership levels. The Akamai Financial Development Program is designed to be an intensive three-year, early career program spanning 3-4 rotational assignments. Assignments are designed to provide exposure to the many facets of Akamai and may include business/product line finance, commercial/sales finance, corporate financial planning and analysis, and financial systems. The AFDP program combines intensive job assignments, FP&A certification coursework, and Akamai specific seminars designed to advance individual productivity, business acumen, and resourcefulness. The program is led by experienced Akamai finance professionals and mentors committed to developing world-class financial leaders with exciting careers at Akamai. Successful applicants will be hired into one of several Associate Financial Analyst roles based on availability of positions and interviewer's assessment. Specific job functions and projects for the Associate Finance Analysts will vary based on rotational job assignment, but similarities will include: * Assist in the bottoms-up development of the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and Outlooks, resource planning analysis, and quarterly forecast updates * Provide accurate and timely financial reporting of monthly results and analysis of key variances, business drivers, metrics, and trends. * Perform deep dive variance analysis on various spend areas an collaboratively work with the global accounting team to research issues and ensure proper expense recognition * Perform ad-hoc financial analyses/reports and provide analytical support as needed. * Identify process improvement opportunities, gain support, and lead implementation. * Ability to prioritize work deliverables effectively to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. * Support the overall business finance forecast and analysis operation by learning the underlying systems, tools and reporting cadences used across the finance organization.
