MediaMath is looking for an outstanding athlete to support our Finance Operations function that is a company-wide priority under the remit of the Chief Financial Officer. The role of Analyst represents a unique opportunity to work in a fast paced, collaborative & challenging, yet rewarding environment. The Financial Operations Analyst is a critical member of a small but highly motivated team to ensure the seamless coordination and execution of MediaMath's highest level strategic financial & operational priorities.
An ideal candidate for the role should be eager to take on challenging tasks and be motivated to articulate & execute on creative processes to maximize efficacy and outcomes. We seek a problem solver who is comfortable with navigating ambiguity and who will serve as a trusted business partner to the team.
Lead the effort on standardizing financial operations & accounting of our 3p/re-seller business;
Lead change management & collaborate with sales function to ensure we are operating this part of our business as profitably as possible
Data gathering/entry, analysis & discrepancy management and build out process maps & documentation
Evaluate and manage discrepancies between external vendor invoices and internally tracked data
Liaise with internal supply management team, as well as external supply providers
Oversee, create and manage accounts and contracts in our proprietary platform to ensure consistent data quality across Salesforce and other internal systems
Provide analytical support on a monthly basis on monitoring & reporting of operational changes & efficiencies
Provide financial modelling/analysis & presentation building support to senior members of the team
Involved in key strategic projects meant to help improve working capital & cost optimization
Facilitate support across teams in the Procurement Process to ensure vendors are properly vetted in an efficient and timely matter
Various ad-hoc projects
Experienced working with large amounts of data required
Strong in Microsoft Excel and be able to build and operate complex models
Highly detail oriented, diligent & adhere to a strict code of ethics around confidential information
Strong in project management and problem-solving skills
Efficient and accurate in managing daily responsibilities and prioritizing duties
Flexible, adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
A Team Player able to deal with different departments daily in order to complete core responsibilities such as Accounting, Sales, Sales Ops, Billing and Collections, Finance, Human Resources
Organized able to efficiently and accurately manage daily responsibilities independently in order to allow time for special projects
Driven must be a self-motivated individual who is willing and able to take on additional responsibility with minimal supervision and grow professionally over time
Able to be trusted with highly confidential information
2-3+ years' experience in analytical/business roles
Strong competencies in accounting & finance
Knowledge of Salesforce, NetSuite a plus
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Effective time management and advanced project management skills ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
