Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • This position will support the Global Wine & Spirits FP&A group in matters relating to Planning, Analysis, Reporting, Accounting, and Business Information Support. The position will play a key role in developing analysis to better understand, interpret, and communicate the financial implications of business activities. The work requires a high-level of MS Excel competency, strong problem solving ability, attention to detail, highly effective communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, the ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects at once.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation and review of the monthly Wine & Spirits Management Report, which tracks performance against key priorities. This requires cross functional collaboration with each business function to ensure risks and opportunities are clearly communicated to the senior leadership team.

  • Continuous process improvement of the monthly financial reporting for month-end and quarter.

  • Provide analytics to support CBI Investor Relations and Corporate FP&A groups in developing messaging for quarterly earnings call

  • Assist in the development of executive presentations

  • Support the overall planning and forecasting process. Includes analytical support for strategy development and tactical planning, overseeing data management of our planning and forecast systems, preparation of presentations, and interacting with other Finance groups to understand variances.

  • Support the monthly close process; including validation of the financial information in our ledger / financial systems and providing support in researching system and/or general ledger issues.

  • Provide financial support (as needed) to other functions within the Global Wine & Spirits Division.

  • Perform project and ad-hoc analysis under the direction of the Finance Director or Manager

  • Provide analytical support to the other FP&A team members as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree: preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting

  • M.B.A. Finance/Business concentration a plus

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting function

  • Proficiency with Oracle Hyperion Suite or similar Business Intelligence financial systems preferred

  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP and database management preferred

  • Proficiency with Excel modeling

  • Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written)
