Position Title: Analyst, Division Finance

Position Location: Irvine, CA Division Office

Position Summary:

Support DFD and division's finance resources as "division consolidator"; consolidate regional reports (from FMs) to division level for budgeting/planning, monthly reporting (incl. R&O) tasks; assist with spend management activities; perform division ad hoc requests

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Individual:

  • Support DFD with consolidation of state/region-level information into divisional view, including roll-up of:

  • Depletion P&L

  • Performance reports

  • Overhead spend (variable portion only)

  • Distributor spend tracking (LMF, EG, SPD)

  • Spend effectiveness analyses

  • Variance analyses

  • Support Pricing Manager with P3 maintenance where no distributor pricing resources present

  • Provide ad hoc support as needed by division, including analyses, presentations / meeting preparation, etc.

  • Provide direction to temps (where required) to manage invoices and complete paperwork for distributor management across division (LMF, EG, SPD, A/R)

Shared:

  • Resolve spend tracking and issues for A/Rs (FMs)
  • Manage distributor A/R reconciliations (distributor, FMs)
  • Load spend tracking information into system (distributor)
  • Identify competitive and market opportunities (DFD, DPM, FMs)
  • Train field on systems such as RAD, OBI, APO (field finance, IT)

Key requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance (or accounting); MBA preferred

Experience / Background: Minimum 5 years in financial analysis /planning with heavy experience in brand planning /profitability. Excellent understanding of PL preparation and analysis of variances.

Working Conditions:

General Office: Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.

Travel: Minimal
