Analyst, Data Analytics & Displays

Responsible for developing and maintaining Power Bi, Pi Vision, Pi Notification, data visualization tools and other system applications and notification tools to support the real time system operations of the electric distribution system. This role will interact with Operations, Engineering, and IT to develop and support the various systems that feed data into situational awareness displays for a 24/7 system operations center. Additionally, this position will facilitate the implementation of PI services development, processes, strategies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and maintain Power Bi dashboard and displays.

• Develop calculated tags, alerts, and event frames from Pi.

• Develop Corporate PI screens to aggregate Production data at a Corporate level as new assets come online

• Utilize Pi Vision and other Pi applications to visualize data in a manner that allows operators to process system information in a visual format, enhancing their situational awareness.

• Work with and translate business requirements for PI Vision screens or analytics.

• Troubleshoot and support break-fixes or issues with PI tags displaying the correct values

• Assist end users with the use of PI tools including PI System Explorer (to build PI AF templates, calculations, event frames, etc.), PI Vision for creation of displays, and other PI end user client tools such as PI Data Link

• Provide subject-matter-expertise related to AVEVA PI, data analytics, and time-series studies to other teams and internal users

• Provide and lead PI training sessions

• Utilize Excel and Pi data link along with other databases to support visualization of information.

• Support control room operations with displays and hardware as assigned by management

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

• Knowledge of utility Transmission and Distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes.

• Knowledge of electric distribution system operations.

• Ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of the organization and outsiders involved with electric distribution operations.

• Ability to analyze electric distribution system problems and act accordingly.

• Experience in leading workshops with several stakeholders

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail

• Strong work ethic with ability to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.

• Programming and scripting using SQL, JavaScript, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, Business, or related field of study or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• At least 3 years related experience to Pi Vision, and Pi administration experience.

• At least 3 years related experience to Power Bi displays and other Microsoft tools

• Proficient in PI Vision development, PI Data Link development, Asset Framework hierarchy builds, conditional alerting, and PI Analytics

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $79560.00 to $8840.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

Working Conditions:

• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.

• Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
