  • Settle, status and troubleshoot transactions with service partners, external clients, agents/depository, and/or counterparties towards cash fail mitigation for domestic and global currencies (pure cash wire and/or foreign exchange activity)

  • Daily monitoring and deadline driven processing of incoming and outgoing wires from/to client, agent/depository, overnight Money Market Funds, lenders or via standing sweep agreements/EOD balancing

  • Adherence to client Service Level Agreements/Descriptions (SLA/SLD)

  • Inquiry management, with attention to established investment vehicle, depository and market deadlines

  • Strict observance of Daily checklist, procedural and internal/regulatory/compliance/operation risk controls

  • Status and resolve cash breaks between custody and client or agent/depository and custody along with any additional risk data as assigned by team lead/manager

  • Elevate potential risk client, counterparty, reputational, financial, regulatory, etc. to team leads/manager with immediacy

  • Review OFAC/Sanction blocks of transactional activity and complete Compliance/Regulatory/Continuing Education ahead of assigned deadlines

  • Develop solutions with peers, service partners and IT to continually improve quality of service delivery, reporting, and transactional flows with attention towards cost effectiveness, automation, system enhancements, new products/services and efficiency.

  • Involvement in client/agent/depo asset migrations, system UAT, industry changes, business continuity support, audits or significant productions changes (note: will include some weekend coverage across the year)

  • Actively participate and contribute to personal development and career development alongside the team lead/manager training courses, research, BNP initiatives, etc.

  • Enrich fail, trade status, and/or client reporting and communicate with service partners towards delivering premier services, developing relationships, and improving the client experience; locally and with global peers across client facing and operational teams

  • Cross train with peers across global and US activities covered within the Settlements and Cash team for seamless solution delivery and cross training

  • Actively participate in projects independently, with team/partners, and regionally

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • College/University degree

  • Experience in the financial services industry at a bank/broker, service provider or as a custodian

  • Familiarity cash and foreign exchange products and service delivery, deadlines and market practices throughout the process flow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SWIFT messaging - securities, reporting, cash and FX message types

  • DTC or Fed direct participant experience (or global depository, ICSD)

  • Client or Operational support experience for global agent network

  • Background in project lifecycle participation, delivery and reporting

Need someone with 10+ years of experience in this field. Custody operations preferred over broker dealer experience. * Extensive knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions for US equity and fixed income products, including ADR's. * Previous corporate action event scrubbing background, must be a subject matter expert on all event types announced by DTCC. * Previous back office operations experience is a requirement, preferably in a custody environment. * Previous experience working with issuing agents such as DFking, American stock Transfer and Computershare to obtain documentation and clarification on event specific processing requirements outside of DTCC * 10+ years of relevant experience * The Client Custody Asset Services Department is responsible for the processing of corporate actions related to equity and fixed income products through the lifecycle of the corporate event. This includes all mandatory and voluntary corporate action event types in a custody environment. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Asset Services support in a custody environment, all components of corporate action processing and reconciliation * Requires previous experience in scrubbing of corporate action events for announcement to custody clients, voluntary and mandatory events * Requires extensive market knowledge of US corporate action events (Voluntary and Mandatory), including voluntary events such as tenders, merger elections, conversions, rights and warrants subscriptions and tenders and consents. * Strong understanding of processing on DTCC's platform * Requires previous custody processing experience * Knowledge of ISO Swift messaging * Act as liaison with internal/external business partners * Products include US Equities and Fixed Income securities Decision- Making Responsibility: * Must interpret corporate action notices and determine client response * Independent decision-making abilities while engaging Management at all times * Must ensure all regulatory requirements are understood and met * Performs according to prescribed procedures.
