Job Summary
The Company is seeking a hands-on Analyst, Commercial & Operations Accounting with experience in Commercial or Operations accounting for large oil & gas companies. Reporting to the Manager, Commercial & Operations Accounting, the successful candidate must be versatile and proactive with a solid work ethic and strong leadership.
This position is based at the HQ office, however, there may be some travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for the accounting duties related to the various areas of Commercial and Operations and Maintenance of the Freeport LNG facilities.
Aiding Lead Analyst and Manager in responsibilities for monthly accounting tasks: month-end entries, month over month trend analysis, reporting and account reconciliations.
Interact with Commercial, Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure coordination and collaboration with accounting department.
Assist with reconciling Operating cost inflows / outflows for monthly draw process and reporting requirements.
Assist with quarterly review and year-end audits, including preparing audit schedules and providing information at auditor's request
Provide continuous improvement of the financial and accounting organization
Participate on ad hoc projects as required
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum Experience Required:
1-3 years of Operations or Commercial accounting experience
Preferred:
Commodity exposure preferred
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience with SAP a plus
Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of the energy industry is preferred
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts and programs of the Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
Working Conditions and Physical Expectations
Environmental/Working Conditions:
Operates in a professional office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets.
Physical Expectations:

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.
The incumbent is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
