The Opportunity:

Coleman Research is currently recruiting Analysts to join our team in San Francisco for June 2019.

Analysts identify and recruit the most relevant experts for our clients' research projects. They are responsible for qualifying and assessing an expert's fit for a project to ensure that we make the right expert match. Analysts are expected to monitor industry news, identify market trends, and establish valuable professional relationships with senior-level industry professionals. This is a great opportunity to gain an introduction to the financial services industry.


  • Conduct industry research to identify and recruit experts who match the needs of a client's request

  • Contact professionals by way of cold-calling, email correspondence, industry and networking referrals, professional associations and other relationships

  • Communicate the value of joining Coleman's network to industry professionals

  • Work closely with management to ensure projects are prioritized and fulfilled in a timely manner


  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 1 year of full-time work experience

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership qualities, positive energy, and the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere, but also manage projects independently

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and detail-oriented

  • Foreign language skills are a plus, but not required (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Russian, Scandinavian)

  • Sales experience is a plus

The department prepares and distributes various internal and external financial and client metrics reports to support the decision making of the Company's executive and senior management including the Board of Directors. External reports include the Company's monthly activity, growth in client assets and accounts, and asset management and administration fees information. In addition, the department works closely with technology partners and are involved in developing new business intelligence tools. The Sr. Management Reporting Analyst will work closely with business partners to understand and analyze current business activities and changes, including technology partners to develop and re-engineer report processes and outputs. What you're good at * Planning, organizing and preparing external and internal financial/client metrics reports and presentations * Ensuring the accuracy, integrity and high quality of financial/client metric information while meeting time deadlines * Identifying and researching reporting and metric issues and formulating/documenting findings into policies for approval * Building and maintaining automated report models for business and/or operational changes * Responding to business partner questions on various reporting items * Ad hoc projects (i.e. benchmark research, prepare presentations, etc.) What you have * BA/BS degree required * Minimum of five years of experience in financial/management reporting, financial analysis and/or accounting (audit experience is a plus). * Brokerage and/or financial services industry experience (a major plus) * Solid and current understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and financial reporting and planning principles and concepts. * Knowledge and experience with PlanIt/TM1 and PeopleSoft or similar enterprise reporting systems/applications. * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Business Objects. * Excellent attention to detail with strong written and oral communication skills. * Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills. * Must be self-sufficient, a team player, and work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
