ANALYST
Overview
Fulfill technical support needs of the College as defined by Colleague Programming Supervisor (supervisor). Use the ITS ticket system to carry out support tickets in a well-documented and auditable fashion. Interface with clients as necessary. Work closely with supervisor and peers to learn standards and procedures of existing systems. Develop software (computer programming) and maintain college technical services and systems.
Responsibilities
Monitor the ITS ticket system and respond to support issues
Troubleshoot support issues of existing production systems and programs
Receive cross-training from senior staff
Adhere to all Service Level Agreements
Provide support documentation for ITS staff and end users
Provide technical documentation for assigned projects
Serve as a business analyst to connect business needs to IT solutions
Provide project management updates for assigned projects
Modify existing systems for small to large enhancements
Build, test, implement, and maintain small to large programs
Serve as project manager for small to large projects
Performs all tasks above for multiple business areas (Registrar, Admissions, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Finance, IT, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Assist in the development of assigned projects with direction from supervisor. Interfacing with internal clients and other ITS staff may be a daily activity.
Contacting computer vendors may be necessary when troubleshooting or performing maintenance. Contact with programming staff at other educational institutions may be required for comparison information.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science and 4 years' experience in software development (computer programming), or Associate's degree and 6 years' experience in software development (computer programming), or 8 years' experience in software development (computer programming); must include experience with at least one of the following:
Ellucian Colleague
Unidata
Web Advisor or Student Self-Service
Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server is not required but is a plus.
