Position Summary:

Sirius XM seeks a Campaign Development Analyst with 4+ years of experience working with marketing databases and building and automating complex direct marketing campaigns in support of Marketing and Strategic Analytics business initiatives. Responsibilities include implementing campaign data requirements developed by internal business partners, developing functional specifications, producing and quality-testing campaign data files, identifying and remediating issues along the campaign development lifecycle, and managing relationships with marketing stakeholders. This is a fast-paced environment that requires working cross-functionally inside and outside the group and interacting with different departments across the company.

The ability to handle several campaign projects simultaneously is essential, as are strong communication and a project management skills. The Campaign Developer will develop a deep understanding of the functionality of the CRM interface, the content of the data warehouse, and the nuances of SiriusXM direct marketing business; the right candidate must enjoy and excel at problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Expert SQL coding capabilities are a must. Candidates should have experience working with high-end CRM/Multi-Channel Campaign Management products; experience with Teradata marketing applications (Aprimo Relationship Manager) is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce Campaign data lists and reports using CRM interface and/or custom SQL

  • Communicate campaign status updates to SME and marketing managers

  • Review and analyze business requirements, write Functional Specifications

  • Quality Control testing of campaign lists and/or Analytic reporting files

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ yrs. practical experience in coding, testing and implementing marketing business intelligence campaign initiatives.

  • Strong affinity for and knowledge of big data environments, relational databases, data interrogation techniques, complex joins, complex segmentation, etc.

  • Familiarity with direct marketing business concepts and terminology

  • 4+ yrs. SQL coding experience

  • BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Technical Skills:

  • 80% technical 20% functional

  • Experience with Teradata marketing applications (Aprimo Relationship Manager) or any campaign automation tool such as Unica/Adobe

  • Deep understanding and skills with Relational Databases and BI tools

  • Expert SQL coding skills -- develop, modify and improve complex SQL-based Stored Procedures

  • Experience with peer review

  • Experience with data mapping

Apply this expertise to engage clients and generate new business opportunities. * Perform and document market research to identify and develop strategies to support Account Managers in identifying business opportunities and developing client relationships with the brand. * Be able to take a business request for information and with guidance determine the best source for gathering the data (Sales Data Warehouse, Salesforce.com, existing reports or other data sources). * Present data in an informative manner using the most effective and efficient tool (Excel, Access, Salesforce.com, Business Objects, etc). * Prequalify market leads generated from Dodge/McGraw Hill by making contact with architects, designers, end-users, and project managers. Set initial appointments. * Leverage and mold resources and business tools for creating business opportunities. Innovating techniques for different sources such as: LinkedIn, Hoovers, Data.com, Prospector Tool, Dodge Network, Dodge Analytics, and Salesforce.com. * Create Targeted Prospect Lists by analyzing market intelligence reports and qualifying leads. Make cold calls from this list to set appointments for Territory Managers. * Execute prospecting strategies to set appointments and lay groundwork for sales team to attend appointment, pursue business opportunities, develop clkient relationships with key players and close the sale. * Ask questions to assess the opportunity and document the customer insight as a foundation for the sales team to attend appointment and advance the sale. * Register leads and convert them to projects on behalf of the territory managers in their region. * Perform and document market research such as Power Rankings to identify Strategic Accounts. * Maintain constructive working relationships with the VPSA team.
