The Analyst, Business Systems will be joining the Technology Reporting and Analytics team within FP&A which consolidates Technology's financial and operational data to provide meaningful and timely insights to the highest levels of T-Mobile's Executive Leadership team.

This individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various finance business channels. The right candidate understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals, and is able to facilitate communication between organizational units and align the needs of business units in order to create and articulate requirements that turn into work products for solution providers.

The right candidate will have a natural analytical way of thinking, have a knack for using and understanding technology, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, always seeking to understand the why behind processes and is able to partner with finance leads to identify opportunities to drive change. Responsibilities include maintaining the team's BI portfolio, creating new as needed as well as other duties as assigned by manager.

  • 2+ years of SQL experience, tables, stored procedures and views, preferably with experience using MS SQL Server.

  • 1+ years of experience with building actionable Power BI reporting, with knowledge of app distribution and query optimization.

  • Experience mining data and developing reports using a variety of reporting/analytics software packages with an aptitude for learning new reporting software packages.

  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision and strong organizational, problem solving, and analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.

  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analysis skills.

  • Understanding of business financial and accounting concepts (Accruals, Reversals, GAAP principles etc.) is a plus.

  • Understanding of multi-dimensional concepts and systems (Hyperion, OneStream etc.) is a plus.

  • Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, R) and knowledge of statistical modeling and analysis is a plus.

Education/Training

  • A four-year degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.

Washington Pay Range: $85,700 - $116,000

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
