As an Analyst, Business Systems & Projects you will work under general direction. You will be responsible for taking an analytical and technical approach to performing tasks and resolving issues as well as performing all functions relating to the daily file maintenance of the billing and collection system.
SME (Subject Matter Expert) for internal system applications - participate in new functional application developments, facilitate testing and advise on system training when needed
Schedule and ad hoc auditing of various systems and databases
Preparation and analysis of financial and production reports as needed by management
Identification and communication of billing and reimbursement issues to management
Lead and represent File Maintenance processes and projects including setup, work orders, user acceptance testing (UAT) and system functionality
Coordination and implementation of corporate initiatives
Collaborative efforts within Billing and the organization to include: system pricing setup and auditing, HL7 monitoring, providing feedback researching Billing issues with emphasis on root causes and reduction
Experience & Required Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required
Experience: 1+years related experience in billing, insurance and third party receivables or healthcare industry, and/or database
Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL experience is required. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills
Deep understanding of business/operations research processes and techniques
Knowledge about billing practices and process management concepts. This may include knowledge of Test pricing and CPT coding, reimbursement processes; commercial and government provider enrollments, claims submissions, EDI and HIPAA transactions; medical billing accounts receivables, review and interpretation of agings, cash flows, write-offs and follow up analysis
Able to write, speak, and listen well and appropriately with different audiences. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and other documentation materials. Able to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
