In this newly created position, VARIDESK is seeking a Analyst - Business Intelligence whose insights will directly impact the bottom line of the VARIDESK business. This person will work extensively with sales, marketing, finance, human resources, product and operations executive leadership to help find opportunities to grow the business. This person should be an expert with analyzing data sets and enjoys diving deep into data analysis, discovering root causes, and designing long-term solutions. Additional responsibilities include conceptualizing, designing, and producing visually compelling business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions (reports, dashboards, etc.) using Power BI.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Partner with executive leadership to spearhead the organization in making data-motivated decisions.

  • Collaborate with leaders of functional areas to identify the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making and accelerate profitable growth.

  • Conceptualize, design, and create Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Collaborate with software engineers who will implement the data architecture and design.

  • Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues, both verbally and in writing.

  • Help to make sure tasks are prioritized properly for each project while managing competing resources and priorities.

  • Assist with analyzing test data and making informed recommendations on future test variations.

  • Establish and communicate a business analytics process for stakeholders ease of use.

  • Streamline and improve internal reporting processes and deliverables.

  • Effectively communicating data-driven insights and recommendations to cross functional business stakeholders.

  • Review and incorporate third party data as needed.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Comfortable with interacting and collaborating with high-level stakeholders throughout the business, particularity the CFO, CMO, SVP of Sales and CPO.

  • Desire to achieve excellent project outcomes, and exceed expectations in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

HOW YOULL GET THERE

  • BA in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis or related field

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and/or agile development environment with an emphasis on BI practices

  • Exceptional conceptual and analytical thinking skills.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to deliver on mutually agreed upon timelines.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access or similar software.

  • Experience working with large, modeled datasets is required.

  • Experience drawing insights from marketing media and channel analytics data is preferred

  • Knowledge of standard terminology pertaining to the business and industry is required.

  • Retail finance: 3 years (Preferred)

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tool: 2 years (Preferred)
