Job Description

At Eurofins EAG Laboratories, we set the global standard for materials testing services. No other scientific services company offers the breadth of experience, diversity of analytical techniques, or technical ingenuity of EAG Laboratories. We offer a consultative, multi-disciplinary approach to solving our clients' materials and engineering-related problems. Now with the support from our parent company, Eurofins Scientific, a multi-billion-dollar global leader in scientific services with a portfolio of over 200,000 validated analytical methods, EAG is expanding our presence in the battery industry to help accelerate the energy storage revolution.

This is a great opportunity for someone who aspires to be a battery engineer or scientist as you will be at the forefront of working in and expanding our a new battery lab in Sunnyvale, CA. You will be exposed to diverse battery technologies across the whole life cycle of batteries. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Performing battery teardown and assembly

• Performing basic electrochemical testing and interpreting data

• Performing basic materials characterization and interpreting data

• Keeping lab and information organized

• Working with other experts within EAG's technical and commercial teams

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in science and technology fields

• Experiences reflecting your passion in the battery industry (coursework, internship, prior working experience etc.)

• Ability to think logically, navigate quickly in new situations, and analyze data

• Solid understanding of physics and chemistry at the undergraduate level

• Clear verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile

Physical Requirements:

• Able to remain in a stationary standing position up to 2 hours at a time.

• Able to lift and move lab equipment and parts weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Able to use glove box gloves to operate various lab equipment and conduct lab procedures.

Additional Information

Compensation range: $88,000-$95,000; Geographical location, years of experience and degree of technical expertise will determine level of pay. Relocation and immigration sponsorship offered if needed.
