The Associate Data Analyst will partner closely with our Operations teams at our three vehicle processing facilities. The Analyst will analyze data, connect patterns/trends, and present available insights on incoming and historical products. This logistical and operational information will enable short-term and long-term planning for operational goals to be determined. In addition, the Analyst will collect information from other subject matter experts to resolve issues within vehicle processing.

Our ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI, to provide information, reporting, and problem-solving solutions to various departments, such as Operations, Distribution, Accounting, Sales, and IT. Superb customer service skills will enable the Analyst to work effectively with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to provide insights for short-term and long-term forecasts and plans for our three Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC's): Westlake, Commerce, and Talleyrand

  • Support internal customers by building reports and dashboards that enable the study of data for operational planning and problem-solving

  • Create headcount analyses, projection reporting, and provide recommendations for labor sharing among shops and VPCs based on forecasted production volumes

  • Develop interactive tools and perform general maintenance in Power BI and other business intelligence tools

  • Present to and train key stakeholders on data analysis project results and interactive tools

  • Connect patterns and trends to communicate and develop theories on vehicle flow, accessory volume and/or headcount and proactively work with Operations to communicate vehicle delays/transport concerns

  • Serve as a lead liaison and report generator for volume tracking, analysis of rail and ship arrival schedules, and available work capacity

  • Provide strategic vision to partners within various business units to assist with process redesign initiatives that leverage technology solutions

  • Function as the lead generator of daily and monthly reports

  • Work to minimize non-value-added time by automating reporting

  • Regularly strive to find innovative solutions for problems, issues, and information requests

  • Other tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in a related field

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI, or a similar business intelligence application

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple job responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with aggressive project deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive problem-solving approach

  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings and to present to a variety of target audiences

  • Dependability with excellent negotiation, customer service, and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to understand and document customer requirements for processes that may not be familiar

  • Exhibit flexibility and capacity to learn new job functions and take on projects as requested

  • Ability to work during the VPC's core operating hours: Monday

  • Friday / 6:00 am

  • 3:00 pm

  • This is primarily an in-office position with the option for a flexible work-from-home schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional work experience

  • Basic understanding of the automotive industry

  • Knowledge of SQL and other query languages

  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques, tools, and strategies such as Six Sigma, TQM, Lean or Kaizen
